So, the new patch will have changes because they want to reduce "Zerg" rush and increase brawls.

Well...how about change the objective to BE a brawl?
What if the win condition is destroy all defenses?
And the objectives are all tactical such as these:

Destroy communications array
Effect: defenders can no longer use air strikes

Destroy Long Tom Cannon
Effect: defenders can no longer use arty

Destroy turret generator
Turrets can no longer use lasers. (They have back-up MGs and SRM)

Destroy turret guidance generator
Turrets no longer have LRMs (if they ever get activated)
Or, now they track slower.

All turrets have ECM powered by another generator
Destroy that one to use UAVs more effectively.

Destroy Orbital Gun
Now attacker dropships can strafe base and defenders on respawn.

Also, make it so defenders come from a ground hangar. The doors have a generator. Destroy that generator then either they spawn slower or have to blast their way out of the doors.

Damage attacker dropships
Certain damage thresholds reduce respawn times/ or cause safer drops further away.

These are all just ideas of different things to make it so the game is all about fighting each other.

I like some of these ideas. I also posted this earlier that may also wiggle in as an objective:

I don't think the rushing aspect may be adequately addressed by adding additional generators. Maybe introducing a victory condition where the attackers also had to defeat a certain percentage of the defending forces would promote more brawling. After all, in order to occupy a planet you must also pacify the conventional armed resistance. Just a thought.

Basically my idea is that the match starts with the defenders at the advantage due to their defenses, but as the match progresses and objectives are taken advantage start to sway to the attackers.

and in my opinion: add a variety of missions: that on the one planet had to fight in several sectors, rather than on two cards with the same type of tasks (ideally 10 -11 maps). For example, to destroy the command center, capture the communication transmitter , etc. those orbital gun it would be logical to change to Comstar station. And in the last final battle for the planet was just a battle with defending forces. So to speak, knocking them off the planet after the capture of important nodes.

Maybe the primary objective gradually repairs itself and the rate at which it does so depends on the number of defenders. eg: 48 left? Regular repair rates. 3 left? Takes 9 hours to repair.

Your repair idea might be the quickest fix.

I hope this latest patch made some sort of improvement. I'm losing interest in CW
