Yep it's a fact, but everyone already knew that.. LOL
Seriously, when you hang back and hide because you got hit by a Medium Laser you hurt your team.

When 5 of you do it, well... Good luck.

Yes, yes - post more threads bashing casual players!

Because certainly that's what a game with a relatively small audience and under-staffed development studio like MWO needs - more tryhards spitting on the "bads."

I'm sure people will be lining up to join a unit if you just insult them a little more...

You don't include the title? Not that it matters much but it seems fairly straight forward what is being said.

Had a match yesterday, one guy told us to "l2p", was raging that we won't win with guys being so timid. He then quitted the match (he was the first to have 4 dead mechs).

We had 6 Lords on our team. We won the match. The guy managed 137 damage with his 4 mechs. This remembered me to stay cautious when guys are calling others bads. Chances are they are terribad themselves.

Usually it is the case.

When you see someone saying "STUPID NOOB TEAM FYFYFYFY" you can be almost sur that this guy is:
- Dead
- Is one of the first dead.
- Have done nothing at all and got with troubles +10point of damage
- Could be killed with him on an Atlas and you in a Urbanmech.
- Won't be missed.

When you see pilots stopping and ignoring objectives to fight it out to the death against a legged Thunderbolt when they could hit the objective, well...

- Caught up in (Random Fever)

Symptoms/Side Effects include: Going in alone, Not going with Team on a push, Overheating, Hiding behind edge of gate, Refusing to fire on objective, Runny nose, Mental retardation, Problems with urine stream, Rect@l bleeding and Blindness.

- Excuses Include: "Hey man i'm here for the C-Bills", "I thought you meant Gamma"

If you experience ANY of these symptoms, please consult the Team Chat for a cure.

It's fine to be a Random/Solo player, but please listen to the Team, go by the plan if you can.

Perhaps you're right, BUT that would make it 13 players and I believe only 12 per match is allowed.

or
solo players can understand that this isn't pub queue deathmatch. You simply cannot win in CW if you refuse to work as a team. It's not going to happen. You can take 12 solo new players in trial mechs who work as a cohesive team against a 12man on comms that are just derping around as individuals in CW and that 12man is going to lose.

There's simply too much teamwork required to win in CW for any players solo, casual, pugs, 12mans, etc. to win if they don't work as a team.
period

I've played with some great pugs. I do a lot of pugging in CW and in the regular queues.

The problem is that you've got people with terrible habits learned from pug queue that they're taking into CW and it's going to take a while to change. For example, camping when you're attacking.

When your team pushes you all push. You're going to die - a couple of time. Possibly 3 or 4. The point is that you're doing it to help drive the win for your team. When you hang back and your team pushes you shaft them. You more or less guarantee a loss for the whole team on the whole drop. You do that one time and you can effectively cost your team the match.

The result being that 1 or 2 bad players can blow the whole match pretty effectively for their team. So the relative impact of bads is significantly higher.

That doesn't make them casuals or pugs, just bads. You stick with the plan, you push with the push and hold with the hold, you stick the object you're set to and you help drive the win. When you stop in the push or hang back to snipe or whatever you blow the whole strategy for the team and may as well just set to TKing for all the good you're going to do.
