I disabled all network shaping features on my network card drivers and it seemed to help.

In an effort to stabilize my FPS, which can bounce anywhere from 100 - 20fps depending on the map/what's happening, I gave this performance tweak a shot yesterday. I didn't get to try it long but what little I saw it seemed better (I know not exactly empirical evidence but give me a break I'm sick with a head-cold so scientific methodology isn't high on the priority list atm). I'll keep testing all the various tweaks and try to do some proper comparisons but so far this showed promise for me.

It's still abysmal to have to even try something like this while running a GTX 780TI and an intel 3930K processor just to get a decent frame-rate but that's where I'm at.

Here's a little bit of history for you.

PGI had no experience with CryEngine when they started, so to begin with they were getting lots of help (and actual coding) from Nvidia and Crytek.

Then PGI did something incredibly stupid, because you know, Russ hasn't got two braincells to rub together, they tried to sue Crytek for some reason but were forced to drop the court case because they were going to lose horribly.

The result is that both Nvidia AND Crytek told PGI to go f*ck themselves and now they are getting no help whatsoever.

Do not expect optimization of the kind we see with professional AAA titles....ever.....

You can believe me or not but I actually get anywhere from 80-100 fps. I just upgraded from a dual core/8GB ram/1GB radion video card sff pc that got about 30-40 fps to a quad core I7-4790K that runs 4Ghz/8GB ram / SSD drive and a Nvidia GTX 460 1GB video. I also run the settings at ultra high.
To alleviate the 80-100fps jumps I run the game vsync so I always get 60fps so no jumping. I believe the processor makes all the difference.

GTX 460 1gb and gets 100fps on ultra?

lol alright mate
