Always get matched with plebs who would rather sit back and try to milk damage instead of actually playing the game. They sit there and wont rush after repeated, all caps instructions to do so. The lane is 100% clear and they decide to go rush Alpha instead of the clear Beta lane. It's ********. Anyone know how to get through to these people? It makes any attacking match impossible to enjoy.

the solution? run 4 light mechs in CW take it upon yourself to use your team as a distraction to bust those base gens up. works for me every single time.

once your team see's their big ol cannon is open they will rush.

also using all caps usually puts people off. its one thing to use it to get their attention IE "GUYS ZERG RUSH ON THE RIGHT" but to use them like a whip on the oxen wont get anyone to listen to you. also use the command menu and explain to them that you have a plan and use inclusive words like "we".

leading a team is as much a skill if not more then simply being a good pilot or a good strategist..

Don't type in all caps, highly likely people will do the exact opposite.

Also, while in game do not insult your teammates, people do not like a smartarse. If in your omnipotent perspective of your team's performance you find them lacking: take company command, establish a plan, and place waypoints on the battlegrid.

When things go wrong also avoid blaming your team and simply try again and adjust your plan without any malice left in chat. Basically as soon as you blame the rest of your team for failing, you loose all credibility as team player and then all credibility as someone who can lead effectively.

Yes sometimes things seem to go wrong but since it is a game that is likely only played in 1st world countries suck it up and try to carry harder. Just remember you are dealing with many individuals some who are probably thinking the same thing and you may also be dealing with language barriers and so forth.

Your mean developing and undeveloped countries? It definitely is not played in undeveloped countries and likely only played by the most fortunate in developing countries.

The point was, that getting frustrated over a game that your insanely privileged to play is ridiculous not to mention deflecting the entire burden of your frustration on to 11 other individuals.

OP, get your act together before you start throwing insults. Pleb? You know that word is a compliment, right? Look it up. Roman plebians were penniless non-land owning people who served their time and lived in the Roman army for like 10 years. As a reward, the state granted them land, citizenship and the right to vote. Was a rather high honor.

Taking that all into account your post is now debunked, because it makes no sense.

Good day.

Try asking them nicely to group up somewhere, then once you get critical mass, ask them to rush a target at a certain time. Works for me.

If you don't win, it's always best to blame your team.

Next time I'm on Terra Therma and the PUGs are rushing center, I'll try:

There seems to be a misconception now that any rushing is "bad form". There was so much QQ about "zerg rushing" that there seems to be those who believe that any and all forms of rushing and bad.

Zerg rushing that was considered "bad" was 12 lights ignoring defenders. PGI gave us 4 generators so now rather than just rushing 1 target, the lights have to run around the base and hit 4.

For PUGs, we have to push the generator aggressively if we are losing the attrition battle at the gates on attack. PGI added 3 generators so if we don't push, we don't win.

In a way, PGI somewhat encouraged more generator rushing with their change by adding more generators to rush in the first place. The change was to give the defenders 4 chances instead of just 1, not to stop the rushes from happening. It's all moot if attackers won't rush at all and if that was the behavior prior, we'd still only have 1 generator... /boggle.
