Resistance 3:
- JavelinJavelin (no contenders either)
- Assassin (it does have a lot of fans, including Russ)
- Penetrator (Has the most fans as I recall), Anvil (It'd be fun), Bandersnatch (it's popular ish)
- Charger, Hatamoto, Cyclops, Nightstar (Since it's not extinct http://www.masteruni...r&clan-invasion)

Which IS heavies would you guys want in a Res. 3 pack?

Clan Battlemech pack:
- Piranha
- Corvis
- Black Python
- Bane/Mad Mk 2

Penetrator would cater to the current Meta tryhards, for sure. Pure upgrade to the BK and Hopper.

Bandersnatch, Crusader and Lancelot, IMO are the most interesting of the remaining IS heavies.

Assassin, Vulcan and Dervish all could add a lot to the IS Mediums, though Dervish would require a made up variant, and some serious hardpoint tinkering to keep from being as androgynous as many recent offerings. Bushwacker of course is a fan favorite that can fit in timeline, now.

As for the Nightstar, a couple things, virtually no mech was truly extinct, overall, because of ComStar's hidden army. That said, it likely was extinct to the rest of the IS, because it was only produced for 19 years, was produced for the SLDF, so most likely went on the Exodus, and in regard to the Clan Invasion era, that's the 9FC, first produced in 3057, which falls into the window of 3050-3061, which is considered the Clan INvasion, whereas the original 9J is expressly considered Star League era.

Definitive, 100%? No. But pretty much everything points to it being extinct outside of Comstar. Even Shelly Brubaker's machine, from the battle of coventry is listed as a 3057 one modified with Clan Tech, so doubtful even the famous Dragoon's Cache contained any.

My Resistance 3 wishlist:

Valkyrie (light)
Wyvern (medium)
Lancelot /// Excalibur /// Ostroc (heavy)
Spartan (assault)

The Wyvern is a Mech I came to like only recently, but I think it could look brilliant in game:

True. But then that is true for a number of Mechs we have in game already. Heck, in the BTU some "IS"-Mechs we have in game are actually collecting dust in some Clan-cache as of 3052, not even available to ComStar, like the KGC-000b. And with the Zeus-5S we even have a Mech absolutely noone had in 3052.

This is not complaining, I just want to point out that PGI has a rather liberal policy when it comes to including Mechs.

Yet not every one of those pre TRO3050 should be put in. Most would be rather meh in what it offers in META or fanbase. They in the end need to add mechs that will sell with the masses, not just a few older timers. It's not something nice to say I know but it's just the truth. This game will have to jump sometime sooner rather then later. This era is almost all tapped out of good mechs atm as it is.

60 tonner. Basically a medium, technically a heavy.

Like the Riflemen or Dragon, a slightly over weight medium Mech.

The Lancelot would probably be the little brother of the Black Knight: smaller, perhaps not in the optimal spot tonnage-wise (60ton Mechs are in a difficult spot), but higher mounted hardpoints.

Also, there are still a lot of pre-3053 Mechs which are promising.

For Inner sphere sure...Clan's are not having alot left, and no a bunch of IIC's and all the Golden Generation would solve this, nor should they just say LOL clans are done we not add anymore clans and only focus on ancient IS designs.....In the end many of these chassis are boring, and only have a very few fans, also TONS of them would be huge flops. PGI would go broke adding them all cause they couldn't sell enough of them to warrant the resources to create the mech in game (which is NOT cheap). We cant live in the past I am sorry to sound like a ***** on this, but we can not simply get ALL or even a Majority of these older chassis in, the popular and good ones yes, the lesser known sorry those can be added later on as filler and probably not sold for much cash either. In the end PGI has to add what will make them the most money over time.

actually many of the golden century, second line mechs and IICs are amongst the most interesting Clan offerings, even if one jumped to the fedcom civil war era.

Rifleman IIC would be in pretty much every drop deck. WHM, MAD and LCT IIC would sell like hotcakes.

The problem is that the specific quirkage application chosen by Pea Gee Eye is not always sufficient to make that happen...

just no more balistic 40-45 toners...Vindicator is terrible and I do not see Phoenix Hawk being better even MASC or ECM variants...BJ will still rox 45t bracket

Not just that, but the early Omni-mechs (Coyotl and Lupis) are actually really decent mechs, even the Woodsmen is good, their crimes is that they were tought up years after TRO 3050, and they had to be retired so that the mechs in TRO 3050 made sense to be there.

Coyotl is good.
Lupus and Woodsman, not so much.

what's bad about the woodsman? Decent loadout, and several high hardpoints. STs might be a little big, but hey, the Orion is just crying a river for it, lol.

oh and just cuz
