Replace the Longbow with the Hatamoto-Chi (with inflated missile hardpoints) and we could still have a Missile Mania pack AND a Project Phoenix II.
PS: if Crossbow is too far fetched (because of the timeline/rarity), Excalibur could take the heavy spot.

You do know Excaliburs weren't exactly growing on trees, too, right?
Pre 3058 it ONLY existed (literally) in the Comguards and Rhondas Irregulars.
Both mechs are essentially extinct.

Well that's commendable, however I don't think the Cyclops was a rare Mech. You may not see it every day in the FWLM, but you would not be totally surprised by seeing one either I guess. The NAIS Atlas e.g. lists the Cyclops as typical for the heaviest FWLM units (assault, type 2) in the 4th SW.
Admittedly, by 3053 the Cyclops became less common as the FWL favoured other designs, though it was never near King Crab-level of rarity ("only a handful" had survived the SW outside of ComStar according to TRO:3039 until the production was restarted after the Clan invasion).
IMHO you can drive the Cyclops in Marik colours without reservation.
I took at look at my collection of mechs and noticed I only really have two assault variations, I have the Misery and a Stalker 4N I also have two Awesome's as well. I might think more on getting the cyclops as it'll offer something different.
I already have tons of mediums but I'm also getting the Phoenix Hawks and I kind of want the Trebuchet to finish my Marik collection (Got Cicada, Wolverine and Hunchbacks) I have the Marik variant of the Orion. and a Thunderbolt as well as Warhammers and I'm kind of considering the Archer since it's mentioned on Sarna FWL tended to use the in conjunction with the Trebuchets.

Option A:
There should be two categories for hardpoints; Small and Large. Keep it simple and base it off the stock loadout of the variant/chassis.
Small Hardpoints: TAG, SL, ML, MG, AC2, AC5, NARC, SRM2, SRM4, LRM5, LRM10.
Large Hardpoints: LL, PPC, AC10, AC20, Gauss, SRM6, LRM15, LRM20
Large hardpoints can equip small weapons, but small hardpoints cannot equip large weapons.
The listed weapons include variant weapons (pulse, er, uac, lb, streak, etc).
This would allow for light and medium mechs that carry large weapons to be unique.
Now... Gotta go find a rock....

I got a little more detailing to go but I am close I feel.
Need to paint Med Laser tips a neon green color and detail the legs up some. Also got decals in the mail.
Thoughts?

Well, since it's a filthy clan mech, i'd paint the laser lenses in yellow, since that's how the medium lasers look like in MW:O

It doesn't look THAT bad with a pelvis.
as long as those missiles are arms and not torsos....
Now I think I want to draw one with proper sized missiles...thing is...it'll just end up a Scat mating with a Cat.

google dry brushing. Nothing is more crucial (aside from proper matte paint selection) to good painting then learning your washes and dry brushing.
You will thank me for this my friend (the old Battletech Compendium had a good tutorial, IDK if the current Rules of Warfare does, but it's worth it's weight in Mad Cats to learn.

I will look into that some more, I have tried it on other scale models, it was a lot easier on a 1/35 tank then this guy though, but just as my few models practice and the more you do the better you get. I tried on this but had eh results, was more on the blue's, I ended up to dark so went to local hobby store got a very nice blue and did a light coat with that, kinda hard cause of the contrast messing with the phone camera but the blues turned out nice IMO, the Ice and Slate were done with a tooth pick and tried to be conservative with it, but maybe should have put a few drops of thinner in the jar, stuff was kinda thick to apply as you can see :/
Compared the standard Battletech minis though how does it rank?
