Yay.
Happy for those who wanted it... can't wait til it's mediocrity becomes apparent though, and the QQ that follows.
The usual QQ? You mean DOA threads that follow the announcement of a new mech.

(but it is actually possible, considering it was confirmed in HBS's Battletech)

BTW, I don't know where the guy got this info. I don't follow the HBS forums much either (yet).

Nope. I mean the usual people overhyping nostalgia choices of extremely mediocre designs , then being pissed off when it's not the new op meta mech

gotta say, big boxy torso laser just doesn't work with the classic bushwacker lines, IMO.
Also not in love with useless/odd manipulator hand, the boxcar AC10 feels tacked on... and the retread Scat Legs... meh.
It's one of those designs people pushed for purely out of nostalgia than actual capability (it was a serviceable platform in MW3, but let's be honest, with unlimited customization, what wasn't?), but I will say the Kate Moss Anorexia Orthos might give it some promise.
Biggest take away is we can pretty much officially slap the seal on the HBS Battletech Mech Bundle Sweepstakes at this point.

I wish they would, but bitterness at the large gap between IS 'Mechs we just had makes me desire a four-pack of IS just because.

Unfortunately for you, there are many reasons PGI won't do this.
1. There are way more IS mechs than Clan, both in terms of sheer numbers and meta choices.
2. PGI is on record stating that wave packs "take too long".
3. Players would immediately demand that a Clan wave pack come out.
4. This would entail that a Light mech is part of the package, something PGI seems unwilling to invest time in creating.

Rifleman IIC, most likely!
PS: It looks like the timeline progression is already on. I would not be surprised to see some later designs.
