Wouldn't be surprised if the Charger got inflation, though. I mean, on paper for MWO terms, it is extremely lackluster, but being a battlemech is open to getting 2-4 more hardpoints.

You can always inflate the number of hardpoints to 7 or more (maybe some extra in the slower variants). Here is a breakdown of the (older) variants. Each one is quite unique! (now tell me this isn't much more interesting than a faster Black Knight the Flashman)

I hope they don't touch dark age until we get the rest of the classic clan mech in game. I know I'm like a parrot but the Phantom, Pouncer, and Grendel all deserve to be in this game before move on.

I read the books and I liked the time-period. To me, it was like a resetting of the power creep, Back to the roods of battletech Posted Image.

Knights and Paladins. Isolated Planets with complicated comunication. Mechs are rare, lots of combined forces with 1 or 2 mechs (mostly old and patched or IIC mechs).

The mechdesign mostly....

Eh, resetting the Power Creep was the initial idea...but buy the third expansion pack or so, it was right back to a mad rush to Mary Sue land.

Ahh, the Gunsmith. One of the nicer-look DA mechs in my opinion, and quad MXPL plus MASC makes this mech terrifying.

That cockpit doesn't say "Highlander" for me. It's gives me the same "Shoot Me" vibe as the Cyclops.

Yeah. I also made a version with 2x L-PPC and 2x ERML. Made for a fun unit.

It makes me wish we could get XPLs in game so we could get that mech. I wouldn't even care if we got the Laser Machineguns from MWLL, just so long as I could have the Gunsmith.

The Gunsmith also requires the XXL engine, Reflective Armor, and XL Gyro.

The first two items are doable but very distant (probably at least 3+ years of IRL time). The last item is impossible in the current mechlab due to how our Gyro weights are handled.

The compact gyro alone would revolutionize many designs, simply because of allowing larger weapons to fit in the CT mounts that are frequently only fit for a small missile launcher or perhaps a LPL if you're really feeling it.

Well non of this would be a game breaker - you can only die once by a ST Destruction - so a IS Guy don't care about the fragility of a XXL
A xl gyro is a non crit so again a no brainer

reactive armor - should need to make it in-game yesterday, or last week or last year?

Agreed. Specialized armor would help a lot to counter those energy meta boats.

more base heat (for example 9% on Terra Therma for others and 15% - 18% for the XXL (doesn't matter Clan or IS XXL)
