Hopefully a light mech.
Firestarter please! Panther would be great, too. But i would prefer the Burninator! :P

If its going to be light 'Mech I'd put my money on the Panther.

If its going to be an assault 'Mech...thats a tough nut, but I would put a cent on the Banshee.

I think the next medium very well might be the Sentinel. Sure it's weak, but by that same notion so is the Cicada.

So whichever mech (light/assault) is announced Wednesday there other one will be on the next release. So if the light is announce on the 18th then the assault will be announced on 1st.

After that it's up in the air. Most likely being a Heavy or Medium. If it's a medium I'm going to go with Sentinel as the blackjack is indeed too similar to the Jagermech. Though in time it too will probably be added as a cheaper alternative to the Jagermech.

Of the options of heavy mechs we will see I expect these because they fill the tonnage gap (75 ton heavies):

Flashman - 5 variants
Hammerhands - 4 variants (looks like a warhammer, so might not see it)
Helepolis - 3 variants but looks awesome
Orion - 6 variants multi-purpose mech

You are probably correct. The mechs from the box set are all common mechs from 3025 to 3050, so they would be the most likely to be in the game. That being said we still have the Dervish, Clint, Cyclops, Banshee, Assassin, Whitworth, Zeus, Vindicator, Spider, Quickdraw, Panther, Hermes II, Grasshopper, and Enforcer.

Another way to look at it is that they are picking mechs from the 3025 and/or 3050 readouts. In which case the pool is expanded a bit.

I am still banking on it being the Wolfhound. I would prefer the Panther, but I think they will implement the Wolfhound first.

If you go by the current logic, the next assault mech should be 90 tons, we have the Stalker 75 ton, the Awesome 80 tons and the atlas 100 tons, so I am thi9nking they are (for now) skipping the 85 and 95 tonners and going with a 90 ton Assault and here are my 3 choices:

Cyclops
Highlander
Mauler (was introduced in 3048) most likely next mech

I know that they would never use the 'unseens', but what about the Phoenix looking versions of the Warhammer, Marauder, Shadowhawk, Battlemaster, etc?

The choices for the other classes would suggest that they are fine duplicating tonnages.

I'd love the highlander, just my style of fighting. I'm a sucker for gauss rifles.
