Whati really want:
king crab - duh it's a KING CRAB. Wont get it but a man can dream.
Annihilator - because the world needs DAKKA. It also seems to mount DAKKA in hands, so 4x ballistic there is not that bad.
Mauler - for some missiles and dakka goodnes.

What i dont want:
any *speedy* assault. If I want speed i get a ******* jenner.
Any *atlas* factor assaut. Seriosly, banshee is sooo similar...
Anything below heavy mech

What we will get
Uhh... Sling?

TL:DR Me want smash and dakka, me not want run.

What I don't want: humanoid Mechs and ugly Mechs, e. g. the Banshee, the Charger, the Hatamoto, you name them.

What we will get: I don't know. Most certainly not what I want. Meaning life as usual.

Odanan, I've always appreciated the good reasoning behind the predictions here, and it's cool to see more posts on which mechs are favorites regardless of likelihood. A suggestion: make it a poll! Poll for what mechs the community wants most, and then a discussion of what is likely.

Mauler and King Crab would be fun to see, even if the devs have to cook up a special KGC-AC/20.

We just got the Spider so I don't see another Light coming.
The Stalker was December so I don't think it will be an Assault.
I know the Trebuchet and JagerMech were planned so I guess it will be one of them.

The next assault they announce will likely be the Banshee, as it is the only mech in TRO 3050 in the assault weight bracket that MWO doesn't have a mech for (the 95-ton range).

Calling it right now:

Next Mech will be announced 13th of Feb. If its another medium I am guess the Dervish, chances are its the final assault though and my lot is with the Zeus or Banshee.

Next Hero mech will be a Cicada, announced either the 27th or the 6th.

That is my prediction based on previous dates.

It can't be the Dervish. It doesn't have enough variants unless they resurrect an extinct XTR Primitives one.

It can be the Kintaro though. That does have enough variants.

This is very true. With two 50 ton mechs for the medium class announced (Blackjack being 45 and Cicada 40) I was hoping for something in the 55 range. But I think the higher probability is another assault, and I think they would go with something in the 80 ton range if they were doubling up on the same weight or they would fill the 95 ton missing slot.

A bummer about the reseen mechs being so taboo.

I would pay good money for a Rifleman-IIC out of pure sentimentality. I've always liked those things, even more than the old Rifleman/RaiderX. I suppose the Jagermech, if we get it, will have to tide me over...

One thing I would NOT like to see? more non-descript humanoid looking mechs like Clints, Panthers, and the like.

Oh, and I absolutely cant remember at ALL where or when it comes in, but a Cauldron Born? those things are just neat.

3x 50 tonners. Hunchback, Centurion and Trebuchet.
We all want a 55 tons medium, but it is unlikely we will have an IS one. Specially now that the clans are at the gates.

BTW, there is a top-notch 55 tons coming mech, and it is called Stormcrow.

This thread was originally made in the time of Closed Beta with NDA.
We started small (out of a sea of similar topics) and unpretentious but eventually got bigger and pinned.
Its objective was always to organize the information about the released and announced mechs and to predict/discuss about the next ones.
It was not my intention to discuss here personal preferences, though...

Great Point. The artwork and modelling in this game is the best I've seen. Really fantastic work.

Guys, I know we won't see this stuff in teh game anytime soon, but FD's art is FD's art reardless if built specifically for this game or not, so feast your eyes.
