I really liked the look of the artemis, but I don't fancy spending so much cash on a new controller, especially when I already have a joystick and tablet - if I could make this work it would be really awesome. Just hoping one or more of the dev's see this and give it some consideration.

It's a great idea. As long as it's just a supplement and not a necessity.

No,

I will use my second monitor if we could do that. If you want to use a tablet use it for communication hands free chat. That way you wouldnt be using your processor to handle that aspect of the game.

That's actually not a bad idea either, but I'd worry about the quality of the sound, as well as the latency involved.

I probably would want one to switch weapon grouping or something like that... and also to display your mech stats and enemy mech's while letting your PC screen hud free. It may increase immersion somewhat, but it would be better if PG can get the actual cockpit HUD to actually do something. But I might be asking too much, the idea might not sit for everyone...

I know similar things have been done with the iPad and games such as the DCS series.

There's no incentive for them to allow your tablet to become an in game aid.....because then you wouldn't buy their concept controller.

Sorry :/

No but it could be a useful app for $1:50 on android market that I would purchase

Tbh, I'd happily pay a small fee, even monthly for a tool like this.

My thinking was to have it as a little display just showing critical info that I wanted at a glance - for example the enemy mech info or my own damage display, maybe even as someone suggested for a couple of the gauges (heat / speed).

I have a TV that I can use as a second monitor, but it's big - I'd like the info in a small place that I can just glance at and move on.

I understood your point and was not trying to discredit it. It will just not work for me cause I don't like to take my head away from my monitors while gaming.
But I'm not against they including it on the game, but something tells me its not something we will see for a good while...

Don't forget they will have to think about IOS and Windows Phone too... this sound like a lot of dev hours too me,

Don't know how much help my tablet would be during missions, but....

I would love a Mechlab app. Set up the mechs I want to run during work so that I could hit my desktop PC running when I got home.

My boss would hate the app of course :P

I think it would be cool, but only if it actually has functionality with touch.

Weeks ago I asked for the ability to put map on an entire different screen. Screw tablet, I want the map on a touch screen monitor and a 3rd screen with the mech lab showing at all times + chat + mech corps stuff + any other windows.

Lots of screen please.

Hell lets connect our mobile with data cable and make our mobiles vibrate when we get hit and the screen shows our mech status.

How about a screen that permanent displays our six ?

Maybe one for looking at the sky, I like birds ?

I would rather see support for multi-monitors before adding tablet support.
also, support for the logitech g19 display would be nice, as that is an established gaming accessory

I would love to prop up my iPad next to my monitor as a secondary information screen to access my armor, target armor, map, and whatever. I won't hold my breath, but I'd love for it to happen. ^_^

Would be awesome. It would just show off how cool everything can be with connected technology.

However, I do not think we will see it. Especially since there is the Artemis so not soon at least.
