Grow some, then get some.
One single lone battlemech is not going to conquer a planet.
Seriously.
It's like me taking a squad car and going to worst neighborhood in my city.
To arrest all the hoods.
Guess what it ain't gonna happen.
Hope ya leave some good stuff.

There are many solo players who want to play and enjoy this mode and currently we can't, in pretty much any way shape or form.
Just saying.
Speak for yourself
I've beenhaving a blast in the CW matches I've played. The big beef for me is simply queue times, so I still play motly pug solo/group queue.

Plus...absolutely NO WAY to play with a friend or two and enjoy yourselves for an evening without being put through a meat-grinder.
That's a great way to encourage new players. BUT..some people just can't see that.

What could happen is infinite maintenance mode. There's absolutely no reason to unplug the servers, even if the game were to lose 90% of its players. Selling mech paks easily covers the costs, but probably don't leave much capital for expansion/upgrades.
I believe that 2015 will come with even more competition for old mens' attention. Just like last time a prediction was made, I'm once again being pulled towards other games. While we may all sit around this forum to hate on robots sometimes, or the company, the mods, devs, Russ' haircut - whatever - we still play it. Most of us have too much time invested in the game to just quit.
If the game stays fun, I'll keep playing. So will the rest of you.

Well, since CW came out, the non-cw group queue has been awesome for small groups
tons of fun, many more matches where it's just small groups vs small groups. Reminds me of the old days with 1 queue *wipe tear*
I would have the say the overall fun level of MWO has increased since CW

What i personally didnt like seeing was that the drops were targetted towards 12 mans over smaller groups / solo players, so that those had much longer wait times, artificially enflated & enforced by how PGI encoded for CW drops.
And i think CW will get better (already has in some aspects) with a bit more time. Leave if you must and come back in 3-6months and see if its more to youre liking at that time, if youre a BT/MW fan.

If you guys want us to respect your playstyle respect ours. Play solo as a solo.
PS. Been dropping with several friends wearing my tag (mud) just to show others how possible synching is. Most of the time we hit into the same match and half of that were on the same team. Those who want proof are being shown just that.
Only when traffic is heavy do synchs not work as well. At slow times they are pretty regular.
So when you solo guys fire on a lone target then notice a few seconds later four or five out of sight of the action turn on you you can be assured they are on teamspeak. No one types that fast.
That is the main reason you have several pushing command wheel in forums to make it less obvious what they are doing.

Very sad that PGI has done nothing to address the premade vs pug issue. Organized teams should never be fighting unorganized teams.
If you think you should.... take a look at the 30 min queue to do CW.
Yeah.. wonderful.
Anyways I'm off.
Nothing needs to be done.. have won most of my games in pug group with or without Teamspeak although this is vital if you are attacking. Wise up and form up... its Ez Pz..
If you can't do this it is your fault.

Dropping into solo on teamspeak is a clear advantage and the sign of a coward afraid of being defeated by solos. Se a lot of cowards every day. When under heavy fire they turn and run then call for mommy to save them. True solos don't have that option and never count on assistance.

oh yea?
Can you quantify
"most"
and
"half"
screenshots
vids?
you didn't provide any "proof", you provided "i did it so nyah"
Also, wtf does that have to do with the topic?
Can you at least keep your rhetoric confined to threads relevant to that?
Also, didn't you quit?
again?

wtf
are you talking about?
wtf does ANY of that have to do with CW and CW queues?

Played like 4 CW matches, then decided to wait a few weeks or months before I will give it another try.
Reasons are:
- Waiting as a PuG is just way to long; quickest match i got was after 10 minutes. On average i wait for a match the same amount of time the actual match lasts.
- Putting up PuG's against 12 mans is like feeding Kills to the 12 mans, and I'm not a masochist who enjoys getting slaughtered.
inb4 "grow some balls", "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen", "Premades die just like anyone else" or "go join a Team yourself then":
- i am aware that CW was made for the organized teams.
- i have no idea how many players are in a team and how many are just casual players like me; i assume PGI figured out where the most money comes from and this are people in organized teams, not the casuals. I have no problem with that.
- organized teams are just that: organized teams. PuG's will never be organized as good as a 12 man (unless they are sleeping on the job... err.. in their cockpit). If we could have a vocal ingame teamchat this might help (yes, you will have a lot of jerks, but there will be a mute button).
- I did not stand the heat in the kitchen, so i left. Do you miss me ? I do not think so.
- i'm a casual PuG for a reason; i want to play at my OWN pace, and don't want others to dictate the rhythm of my life. None of my friends or colleagues are interested in this game (although i did advertise it as best as i could), and joining a group of totally strangers just in order to have someone to hang out with is a concept I can't quite follow.
So, gentleman, i dismiss your "get some balls", because i'm happy with the once i got.
I play this game as a hobby to have some fun; i will simply pass out on something that is not fun for me.
I did watch some Tutorial Videos (among them the ones made by Kanajashi, thanks, btw) and over the past months managed to get my K/D up from like 0.5 to now 0.9.
I did try weapons I did not like, like the Gauss Rifle, just to get a hang of them (oddly i like the current Gauss-mechanics and decided to buy a Firebrand based on my experience with it).
After PGi gifted the Centurion AH to me, i gave it a shot, too. Never was fond of it, but i just bit my lips and got through it. Actually managed to get some really got matches in it and now, while still not in love with the design, we are at least friends. Sort of.
I still make rather stupid mistakes, and probably will never stop doing them. It's the way it is, and your "you suck" will not change that.
I also will not listen to your "L2P", because most people who utter this do not want to encourage me (or anyone else they are addressing), but rather want to further humiliate me/them.
Also, what most people tend to forget: my death is someone else's kill. Telling me to L2P is the same as demanding to get less kills, and get killed more often. If all players would be equally good, we all would have a K/D of 1.
Besides, i DID try to learn to play the game, got better (if you consider increasing your K/D as an indicator for getting better), i will just never be GOOD.
This is a game. Games should be fun, not hard, frustrating work.
While i agree that if you give nothing you will get nothing, in the end I'm here to have some fun, not more work.
So, you have your fun in CW, i will have mine in the solo queue and check back on CW in a few weeks and try it again.
Win for everyone.
(On that note, i wouldn't mind if PGi would put "Invasion" in the solo queue as an additional game mode, just without respawn.)
See you on the battlefield !
.. or not.

I agree with you. It's why solo que is still an option during CW. I personally have been playing mostly solo que because of que wait time. I enjoyed the CW matches I got to play, but I don't have all that much time to devote to a video game ATM, so I'm not waiting 10+ minutes to find a match. If you don't like CW, play solo que. Happy Hunting o7
