While I have a strong affinity for FWDI products I must begrudgingly acknowledge that the Dragon is a formidable foe. As a flexible-role attack chassis it is a real threat on any field. Very like an up-armored version of the venerable but effective Hermes II design.

always liked the Dragon (and Grand Dragon too when it comes along later)

the tbolt is still my prefered heavy mek for this period in the IS.

anytime we can get a DC mek into the line up its a good thing!!

I plan to take the Dragon as my prefrred mech. I'm gonna skill in it, and max in it and make it my baby.

It could be terrible. Heck, its stock loadout, once the mechlab comes into play/gets figured out, *probably* will be. However, the role of a fast-moving long-range platform is never obsolete. Speed+Range advantage = unbeatable. It might take an ages' worth of maneuvering to defeat someone, but by golly, if you've got longer range and greater speed you can probably do it without getting touched.

This is not my favorite design but I might like to try it out and see what all the hype is about.
