For all of you guys complaining about the Dragon's new arm, the original artwork is wrong. The technical specs on the Dragon lists arm actuators (can't remember if it was upper or lower) which was inconsistent with the artwork. So they're actually "re-designing" it to how it was originally supposed to look like.

The original concept art for this thing in MWO was missing the arm as well, but they realized (presumably after going through the specs to add it into the game) that it was supposed to have an actual arm, and thus, new picture.

You know our community. Did "they realize", or got some "feedback" from us? :P

How long did it take something called the Draconis Combine to develop a mech called the "Dragon" again? Seriously a bit slow on the uptake aren't they

Not enough volume of fire. Try an AC/10 or large laser.

Nice reworking of the art. Glad the specs are followed. It looks much better than the original ever was.

DRG-1G Grand Dragon. Swaps the AC-5 & ammo for a PPC, another medium laser & 2 more heat sinks. I'll be very surprised if it isn't a variant in MW-O.

The more i'm thinking about the Dragon, the more i like it. Both the looks and the default configuration.

That said, since it is a 60 tonner, ie more efficient on the engine department, it could be turned into a capable HEAVY scout. Up the speed even more, sacrifice some of its weapons (keep it to a main gun and a backup) and a bit of armor.

Regardless, i really want inferno SRMs. Have the Dragon fire them from its nose...

my most favored design was a 60 tonne 5/8 that didn't use the XL engines, all IS tech.

if I can't have that, at least the Dragon is available for use. I will love battling in the Inner Sphere (and beyond?) once again in this chassis ;)

This mech may not be my first choice, but I will get one. Cause this thing is a boss.

As mentioned, a lance of these in a quick strike role could be devastating. Very good speed, decent survivability and incredible endurance (heatwise) along with threatening firepower to any it can flank make it a flexible 'Mech useful in many situations.
