As the title suggests... I think we should have an indicator. Like some small boxes on the right side of the mech that indicate module slots and cockpit slots. When those slots are filled with an item, the box is X'd or filled in with a color. For some of us with larger mech bays, it takes HOURS, and I mean HOURS to find modules and cockpit items sometimes. I have 244 mechbays at the time of this post and only 19 of them are empty. So I have 225 mechs. I understand that there are probably not very many people that come even close to that, but surely even having to hunt through 50 mechs for a module or a cockpit item is a pain.
Shouldn't it be easy to locate these things? Just a small indicator on the right side of the picture would be a huge benefit when look at our mech list.
Also... a list view would be nice to reduce my UI lag with an option to set the default view. It hangs my system and takes upwards of a minute just to load my mechlab. Kind of a pain sometimes. Even crashes on rare occasions.

There must be like 10 polls for this request already, but i'll click 'Yes' on this one too...
See here for a suggestion by juxstapo on how to find modules and engines easier (incl. pictures).
As far as I know Russ already mentioned that this will be addressed in the upcoming UI updates (No it's not called UI 3.0). No ETA given as of now (to my knowledge).
