The Remnant has been involved with Mechwarrior Online since the early days of closed beta. Most of our core pilots are seasoned veterans of not only MWO but also previous mechwarrior games such as Mechwarrior 4 (of all flavors, including the MekTek release), Mechwarriors 2 and 3, and also other games such as the MechCommanders and Mechwarrior Living Legends.

We boast a successful competitive career including numerous bouts in competitive leagues such as Marik Civil War (MCW) and Run Hot or Die (RHoD) and were at a point ranked fifth best NA competitive unit in MWO behind worthy adversaries such as hardcore units Steel Jaguar and Swords of Kentares.

• The ability to play and grow, no matter how you approach the game

Despite all these accomplishments, the real success of the Remnant is actually in the culture of the unit. We are not purely competitive nor purely casual, but a balanced mix of the two. We teach and train our pilots from the ground up and the vast majority of those students (including those who may now be in other units- MercStar, Lords, etc) were raised from regular pug player to potent and skillful pilots who knew their mechs and the game well.

• Accessibility. New pilots and veterans alike will find themselves right at home

Ours is an atmosphere of friendliness and encouragement that allows our members to truly realize themselves and become successful mechwarriors. We are serious and straightforward to be clear with you. We have the knowledge and understanding to teach you. But the background and culture to remember to that our goal is ultimately to have fun!

• Casual or competitive, you can expect equal and fair treatment no matter your choice.

The Remnant is an unorthodox mix that can be described as "semi-competitive". Now that community warfare is out, we can focus on getting into carving out the inner sphere without having to supplement with player run leagues. What's this mean for our pilots? We'll be fielding both casual and competitive-style CW drops. Those that aim to be competitive with us can expect to get the training, support, and cooperation they need to do well.

• As a mercenary unit, we don't favor any faction- we go where the money is!

As a mercenary unit, we are not aligned with any particular faction. When our current contract is up we decide which IS faction (or Clan faction) to begin a new contract with.

• And of course, community events!

We host events on our own TeamSpeak server both within our unit and with the many units we are friends with such as tournament-style duels in private matches, headhunter games where points are gained for killing people you know in public matches, and many more!




With the Remnant, mechwarriors of all skill levels and game goals- be it competitive or R&R fun- can find themselves right at home. With our friendly, welcoming, and skilled pilots, you'll be sure to have a good time. it was a close match indeed. That was one of our first few attempts at a larger group in CW, so we do need to work out strategy a bit more.
