Dear Draconis Combine comrades, lets form a united front against FedSuns. House Liao already allied with House Marik. We can unite the powers of three houses and push the davions out of IS. Join the antiFedCom coalition!

While we would love to further our relationship, it is in everyone's best interest that we focus on keeping the clans at bay. We are the IS vanguard on this front.

This doesn't mean we can't be happy to hear of Liao taking new Fedcom planets though :)

A "triple entente" like this is both in the Dragon's strategic interests, as well as in line with the canon of the Kapteyn Accords.

A harmonious proposal.

Yes Liao, push. Push like you are Octomom. Gobble up those planets and exacerbate your holiday gluttony.

There is nothing to be gained from stopping the Clans! While their goal is to take Terra, the Davions are striving to take of your planets! Let Comstar deal with the Clans and repel the invaders. While the Clans just want to take our worlds as a corridor towards their final goal, the devious Davions are taking our worlds to satisfy their neverending greed for more.
No more shall we idly listen to the lamentations of our women.
No more shall we idly watch our children forced to eat hamburgers so they can match the weight of a locust.
Come forth brethren, now is the time for payback!

The Pleiades Mobile Patriots offer our mechs exclusively to the Dragon whenever we may find ourselves on the clan border.

It's definitely appreciated by all of us in HK. I posted this info actually in Liao's coordination thread, but if any Liao units or merc companies are ever interested in coordinating drops with some of the Kurita units, the teamspeak where we all meet is house-kurita.enjinvoice.com

I know 11th is mostly German, and I believe (please correct me if I'm wrong 3rd Benjamin members) that a number of the 3rd Benjamin unit is French if you're looking for euro timezone people to drop with.

Night's Scorn (NS), I believe 9th, and Arkab legion all have north american players if you'd like to hop into their respective channels and contact or coordinate with them.

I'm not a member of any of their units but they've all be incredibly courteous to any random kurita they've met and seem happy to let me and my friends drop with them, I'm sure they'd be just as appreciative of any support Liao would like to bring fighting clanners together.

Pathetic weaklings like yourself go grovelling to the other weaklings around you for help. Have you no guts or desire for glory? Do your potential allies have no honour or guile to scope out the treacherous vermin you really are?

Why did you choose to be named for a second-rate electronics manufacturer?

Most Combine samurai will be happy to participate in one-on-one challenges. It is a tradition the DCMS has cultivated since before the end of the Star League. But needless to say, this only works if our enemy adheres to the rules of honour for such an engagement rather than attempting to overcome the skill of the individual Mechwarrior by sheer numbers.

Giri commands that the samurai places the survival of the Combine before their own personal honour, so do not assume such pathetic attempts to goad your enemies into submitting to the Fedrat "masterplan" of crushing its smaller neighbours one after another will succeed just because you appeal to something you gaijin have no understanding of.

The Star League Gunslinger program came about because the Star League needed highly trained one on one fighters that could do well against the Draconis Combine duelists. They never managed to get to 50-50 on the fights but I think they went something like from losing 9 out of 10 duels to 6 out of 10 and that's pretty good.

That said, it's all fun and games with one on one challenges until Wolf's Dragoons uses those duels to under cut the glacier your army is standing on, which ends up dumping an entire regiment of your troops into freezing water to die. Doh! This happened on Misery right at the start of the 4th Succession War.

Contrary to what most gaijin and even some DCMS hardliners believe, the Dictum Honorum does not disparage unconventional tactics as dishonourable if they serve to turn an otherwise unfavourable battle around. Such feats of wit are the sign of wise generals and command respect, regardless of whether they are found within our own ranks or amongst the enemy.

Defiling the deaths of so many brave men and women with shameless gloating, however, is the sign of arrogant braggards. I would have expected such attitude from a mercenary, but not from a warrior from our most respected foe. Perhaps you should go back and study not only Colonel Wolf's battle reports, but also what he may teach you about proper decorum.

It was a brilliant move that only happened because the Wolf's Dragoons had studied the Dragon and knew exactly how to take advantage of them. Keep in mind that the entire battle was brought on by the fact that the combine tried to cowardly take the Dragoon's civies hostage to force them to resign their contract under terms that would have bankrupted the Dragoons had they been a normal Merc unit.

The same Col Wolf that insulted and chewed out the leader of the Draconis Combine over the entire thing on Terra at the Wedding of Hanse Davion and Melissa Steiner?

Let's not forget you are referring to events engineered by a rogue, dishonourable warlord - something you have conveniently omitted from your indirect accusation. But of course things such as greedy leaders plotting treason for petty, selfish reasons are something that would never be possible in the glorious Federated Commonwealth, hai?

And yes, Wolf was a warrior, not a diplomat. If he were both, he may have found a way to inform his employer, who used to hold this particular band of mercenaries in unusually high respect, of the brewing storm before it had escalated.

Battle of Misery

The Draconis Combine responded in force. Warlord Grieg Samsonov (on direct, albeit unofficial orders from the Coordinator himself) cruelly sent none other than the unlucky Minobu Tetsuhara, who was promoted to General for just this purpose, to Misery with explicit orders to destroy Wolf's Dragoons. For this mission Tetsuhara received command of the Ryuken regiments, augmented by several other line regiments.

And after discovering this "traitor" what did the Glorious Dragon do? Oh yeah, ordered Death to Mercenaries. Derp.... I guess angry Taki wasn't much of a diplomat either.

Oh I forgot instead of taking advantage of an almost empty Davion Border, Kurita spent the vast portion of the 4th Succession war chasing after the Dragoons in an attempt to destroy them. Which... they failed. Shock.

Dragon's Honor: When one of your warlord goes rogue screws over a merc unit employed by you.... you must do everything in your power to punish the warlord. Wait.. not that's not right. You must do everything in your power to destroy the Merc Unit. Wha??

Takashi was always a very (_VERY_) conservative man when it came to the traditions of the Draconis Combine, one of the biggest issues which caused the conflict between him and his son, Theodore. That together with having apparently suffered a stroke around the time of the wedding/conflict with the Dragoons (which was not of course public knowledge) is probably to blame for a lot of his somewhat... irrational decisions regarding his obsession with the Dragoons during and following the 4th Succession War, and was probably also responsible for the Death To Mercenaries edict (a less than rational decision in a universe where the merc Companies make up a very significant part of the fighting forces available).
