So we have a planet under constant attack from Liao and another under constant attack from Kurita, but we aren't attacking either of them. Why is that?

Unit commanders declared a Christmas cease fire. We defend but do not attack.

My personal interpretation of the Ceasefire.

Its not that they are helpful to Liao and Kurita per se.

The 'Ceasefire' was a statement of Non-agression by Davion over the holiday, 23rd-26th. The other houses were free to also jump on board. The reasoning being that the number of players available is down a TON from the holiday, and there just arent enough folks around to support offense and defense on multiple fronts, by any faction.

The Mariks and Steiners have also hopped board and not attacked the Davion border. Now, bear in mind that this is not some faction wide order by any supreme leader, just a gentelmen's agreement between many of the large participating groups within those factions. There are bound to be smaller groups, as well as pugs, that hop in and attack whatever they please. But without the support of the large units, they will have an extreme amount of difficulty taking anything. Why? Because the groups that have agreed to non-agression for this 3 days, have all taken as understood that they are fully dedicated to defending against these minor attacks (understanding them for what they are) as well as running large groups of players up onto the clan border.

There's plenty of fighting available. Its on defense of Dav worlds, and anything up on the clan border. (which makes for some nice variety, honestly)

Its also my understanding that the ceasefire ends on the 26th, at the CW Ceasefire Break.

Public relations works in mysterious ways. What might look like weakness for 3 days turns into a strength for 3 months.

Liao and Kurita decided to continue aggression during the holidays, and now they'll pay for it.
