I've played nearly 20 matches. And right from beginning I've got two defend positions. From there, all attacks. If I select planet with defend task, I can wait 15-20 minutes but match isn't build. So, how to get defender job?

First of all, I feel the need to point out the difference in results for succeeding or failing.
If you win as an attacker, the faction you're assisting gains a point on that planet, getting you that much closer to winning it. If you fail, nothing happens.
If you win as a defender, nothing happens. If you fail, you weaken your faction.
So please don't actively seek defense if you're not absolutely sure of your ability to win.
Now, on to the meat and potatoes of this... if you want to defend, pick a planet where your faction holds over half of the territories, and where your faction has fewer players than the enemy.
By doing that, you increase the chances of getting a defense contract. It's not guaranteed, but it'll help.
