Because he thinks the clans are OP .. but he is doing it in a way to not actually say it!

Probably because the turrets actually kill the IS precious game winning lights too?

Meh. Why? The only thing about turrets that should change is the fact that they can't miss. Same with dropship weapons. If turrets are suppose to be that capable then what the hell are humans doing inside of mechs? It would be machines controlled like drones if anything. I don't care if it's a simple random numbers table controlling a hit. Anything is better then current way they can just core out a lights chest.

I agree with the OP. Clans should get Barracks that spawn waves of Elementals.

Heck let them swarm the enemy mech complete with an animation of a clan elemental trying to break into your cockpit obscuring your view and people shooting you int he head with FF trying to get the thing off of you.

In all seriousness, maybe lessen the guns the turrets have to Medium lasers...I hear they have larges atm...

I am not sure about more kills per match, but my CPLT-C1(F) could easily shoot the pants off my Mad Dog Prime.

The problem with getting nerfing the turrets is that the light zerg becomes OP all of a sudden.

Right now I think light zerg is in a good place... it's a tool that can be used, and it'll whomp an unsuspecting defending team, but most people know to look for it now so it's not a big deal because it can be beaten.

The only problem is that having the turrets be as powerful as they are makes conventional fighting a bit of a pain. I think that the best way to alleviate that is to make the turrets always be out of their shield. RIght now, they pop up and fire when you're within 450... meaning that if you can shoot it from 1200m, too bad. You're doing 10% damage.

Make the turrets always-up, and that lets a team sneak an RVN-3L into the base and clear turrets for a while without having to trigger the return fire mechanism, while the bulk of the force fights it out somewhere else.

Well, technically the Dropship turrets should be controlled by gunners..

You shouldn't get defense turrets. Not the entire IS, just you specifically.

The only reason I can think of clans not getting turrets via lore is it being dishonorable since they prefer the mech pilots to be getting glorious mech murders instead. Though I haven't read many of the books so, eh.

Elemental swarms would be fantastic but the engine isn't built for them.

Anyways, would the turrets be more or less overpowered as PPC turrets? Though they'd deal more to heavy mechs and less to light mechs that way so it probably would not solve anything.
