I have interesting suggestion for the map though. move the base to the coast and remove that wall there. That way attackers can choose to go in from the sea but have nearly 0 cover. Of course a base would use the area for docks and such but have lower buildings and a dry dock to prevent too much cover. Also put some turrets right there where they can help repel a sea attack.
with multiple drop zones like this that are apart from each other, it should be up to the attackers to pick where they want to be dropped at. This would allow the attackers to come up with different attack strategies. All drop from one point and rush at one side of the base, drop 4 mechs at each drop point and hit from all sides. First wave from this side, next wave from that side, 1 lance at drop 1, 2 lances at drop 3... Whatever. But in maps like this, the option to pick your drop and line of attack should be there.

100% in support of this idea, I hope we see more inventive thinking in map creation and less catering to the stupidest common denominator.
