Note, this isn't me who posted the question, I just edited for his sake. Also, this is the lady (Carole) who did the MW2 voice :D

**EDIT** Stupid buggy photo upload....LOL

We need to get a poll setup to see whether people want Carole back doing the voice and see if PGI will take notice

MW2 is the best voice I've heard so far in a mech game. But, I see this as a good way for PGI to make a buck. Offer different voice packs for a few bucks. With a few different styles of voices. Maybe even have some famous actors do some voice work. Then give me the ability to apply a voice pack to each mech I have. So if I want my Atlas to have one type of voice pack, an my Hunchback to have another I can. It would add a bit of flavor to each mech.

This is actually a really good idea. I would totally pay for a voice that I like.

I don't think anybody wants any kind of "enemy detected" notification 10 times in a row.

I do, only if it's in the MW4 voice though.

This needs more attention. <.< >.> I would certainly love to have my Timber Wolf boot up to Miss Ruggier's voice, just like it did 17 years ago. Though I suppose if they just re-used the already-recorded voice-assets (probably owned at least at one time by Activision who made MW2), maybe they wouldn't need to contact her? ::hopes against hope::

As much as I like to consider myself a "purist" in MW gameing... I'd have to throw my support behind the idea of Tricia Helfer as the computer voice.

C'mon guys, just think about her voice at startup.... Yummy.

Careful with those blips/beeps comments or the devs will have you remembering the good ol' dial-up days. XD

Regardless of where the voice comes from, they definitely need to throw in voice notifications for things like critical damage/heat, weapon destroyed, shutdown imminent, etc.

Maybe throw some beeps and onscreen notifications in as well, but I am so far disappointed with the lack of voice notification in the beta vids I've seen

I'd pay for Ms. Ruggier to narrate my wounds. "Weapon...destroyed. Leg...destroyed. Dignity...destroyed."

I think this would be cool. Especially if (forgive my ignorance of setting) affiliating yourself with a faction allowed you access to Bitchin' Betty but in various flavors...Chinese, Japanese, or what have you for Draconis Combine, etc.

Or, just a variety of voice packs for sale by MC. Highlanders want a thick Scottish accent...XD

While i like the original Mechwarrior female computer voices as an optional choice it would be nice to have something a little different in style.
For example this one sounds quite awesome:

I want MW3 female startup routine ;)

Yup, I'm also one of those heretics that prefers the MW3 version as well. Maybe it's because she doesn't take ~2 seconds on each individual word (like the MW2 one) and just cuts to the chase?
