I've just put up a fairly comprehensive post on how you should be able to resolve these issues.

http://mwomercs.com/...ing-patch-cycle

I did all that and none of it worked.

What did work was the solution I documented in this thread: http://mwomercs.com/...72#entry4049972

Several other people have reported that my solution worked for them.

I think your installation server is either serving up a corrupted file, or your launcher is looking for the wrong checksum.

The invoice is in the mail for all the free technical support I provided to your customers while you were all on holidays ;)

Hey everyone,

Apologies for the delay. I've just put up a fairly comprehensive post on how you should be able to resolve these issues.

Flush your DNS
  • Press Windows key + R to open the Run window.

  • Type cmd and hit Enter.

  • In the command prompt window, type:

  • ipconfig /flushdns

  • Hit Enter.
Worked for me! Horray

Let me just take this opportunity to say you guys are really adequate. Scaling the heights of mediocrity! :P

Really thanks.

That wasn't the problem. (Did it and it made no difference.)

Wish I knew what to tell ya. My problem is when it comes to computers I'm...well functionally illiterate.

Have you tried reseting your computer to an earlier time?

These are actually different issues. The patch loop/install base issue can be caused by a couple of problems unrelated to the one you linked there.

Thank you for posting that info, though. I will be looking into those steps as soon as I have the time.

After trying everything and then reinstalling the game my 64bit client worked fine until the end of the night after playing. I decided to try to get back into the game and there the problem was there again. This time after I installed the game however I made a complete backup on another drive of the entire game. So I decided to try and copy the backup over my install. (Didn't work). So I was thinking it's got to be some other directory causing the problem or a registry setting. I went in and edited the registry entry on the PGI install location and changed it to my copy saved the entry and tried the game (worked). Didn't have to patch or loop etc. For giggles I still had the registry open I put the install location back to the original game directory (worked). So now the original directory worked as well as my copy directory. I sent a support ticket in with my results in the hope it will help them track this down. So if your comfortable with editing the registry you could copy your game directory to another folder for backup, switch the install location in the registry and see if it allows you to play and not patch. If you're not comfortable with editing the registry DONT DO IT!
