Tcp Optimizer--If You Want Your Mwo Fps Spikes To Go Away.

Now I still get FPS in the 30s on that map (in one match I had a drop to 28 enduring CLRM spam), when I'm looking out over the main area and the action is heavy and such a low frame rate in MWO is now only about as brutal is it is in any other game. This is a significant improvement.
Now the only thing between me and the 60+ FPS I should have is PGI and CryEngine lol. Whatever it is about snow maps that tanks FPS needs to go

I have a brand new system - i7 5930k 3.5ghz with intel turbo on one core to 3.9. GTX 980 4g. and running on Samsung 840 pro ssd. 32gb RAM OC to 2400
Until today I was seeing FPS of up to 120, but with lows down in the teens. Crazy stuttering. My mech would move like it was limping. Through overclocking RAM and adjusting the config I was able to get a low average of around 30-35ish FPS. But I would still drop down into the low 20's. After the 4 adjustments today I am practically locked at 60fps with Vsync on, with spikes down to 57 occasionally.
Going to play with the web browser open as waiting for matches this time f night is dreadfully boring. I'll let you all know if his drastically affects frame rates for me.

Great. Glad to hear SOMETHING worked, even if we don't know for sure what exactly. lol And to clear cache you can click on the 'gear' icon which is located in the top right side of the display before you login into the MWO--right at the very beginning. That is where you can choose to run MWO in 32 bit or 64 bit way. Somebody said to clean that cache every time you change resolutions/settings and/or switch to 32 bit and back... maybe that is true too.

I don't know what exactly it runs on but I had to enable TCP/IP permission for MWO in my firewall after I installed the MWO so that I could play it. It uses a dedicated port for TCP/IP... so who knows what exactly goes on in it's belly of the beast.

Now if we can only find some new MWO user with troubled performance who haven't tried either of those things.. they could just start by setting power performance level to high, observing the results, then if it isn't to their liking they could try this tool, observe the results again, then compare the two results to each other and to the initial state.. hmm We can wait. Maybe somebody would come around with a pristine system upon which they can experiment.
