not sure about this, probably one of the easierst hacks to do and hardest to recognise, yet the wallhack module itself provides a lot tactical advantage for this themselves. seismic is some esential tool to prevent you from real bad surprises. Especilly when you are in more squisy mechs.

it happened to me 3 consecutive games and it made me rage quit for the day. peek then run behind a wall.... ok still taking damage from autos...... alright keep running behind wall, got 8 teammates standing next to me where is this guy?..... WTF where is this guy, at this point i am completely safe behind a wall still taking damage from autos... DEAD.

now either all 3 times this happened all my teammates where douchbags waiting for the red core on this guy and refusing to fire until he was red core even though i couldn't target anybody or see any red indicators anywhere.. Or the conclusion is quiet simple wall hacking.

There area also some tools to manipulate hit registration.
I notice it always vs the same people few, that when I fight against them I nearly deal any damage.
No matter I hit them with ERPPC's on 600 meters or with a Brawler Atlas with a full alpha while they are standing still, they don't lose a lot of armor.

That's all handled server side. Chances are it's a ping issue on your end more than anything else.

Appreciated the video. At least we know it exists and who uses it.
Snapping on someone before he jumped out of cover like that was pure horse ****.

I agree, that shot at 8s was definitely irregular.... the one at 23s very suspect. It's not that the target was hit, but fluid fixation on the target... <_<

I myself haven't had incidents where I suspected cheating, fortunately...

Pretty obvious stuff. Hope you reported him to support with a link to that video.

I am sorry it is not obvious what am I supposed to be seeing? All I see is badly damaged mech being blown away by an Atlas in what looked like an alpha strike and then he started to back up plus the resolution is to bad to pick up much.

The funny thing is, the poster of that video will probably get banned for violating CoC and the cheater will still haunt the forums with his c**p

Good on you for not knowing, that just means you never saw an aimbot in action, let alone tried one.

The quality of the video is very bad indeed but that is not that relevant, you can see his aim snapping around very quickly when he fires and then not leaving that point for a while. It's a very bad player with a very badly coded bot he seems to be unfamiliar with. One can only hope he spent money on it and got a virus for his trouble.

If you have proof and send it to them they do stuff.
Obviously they don't go poking through match- and account-data for every "DUDEXYZ KILLED ME IN-GAME! MUST HAZ HAX!"-report they get but I reckon if they get several reports on the same person, preferably with more than just the above cry-line in it (detailed description, videos, screenshots), they investigate.
Their CoC also states that they will not tell you what happened to a player you reported, so it might seem like nothing happens, even when that player was banned as a result.

well, TBH, if you tweak the details you can see mechs rendered before the terrain

so it's not totally suspicious

N00bs bring your finest cheats, we'll roll you anyways.

That wall hack ain't gonna make up for bad acne and a tiny wang

I doubt it was an aimbot. If anything it was modified rendering values or texture modifications. It's far easier to do that than write an aimbot.

I can't speak about cheating or aimbotting or its prevalence in game, but I think I've only been headshotted perhaps two times ever in I don't know how many drops. One happened to be the other day, which probably puts six to eight months between the two incidents. I certainly haven't noticed any cheating but I'm pretty ignorant about such things and I only observe anymore if my dropmate is in match and still alive.

Well, if they all have bad ping...

I'm more likely to blame hit reg issues on the game, HSR, or lag than hacks personally.

It's also possible they're pumping their jumpjets and abusing the hitbox change.

Everyone in my unit at one time or another has been accused of "aimbotting" ... i have been amazed a few times and how accurate some enemies can be. That being said ... in my over 10,000 matches so far I cannot say I have seen anywhere close to a positive example of an aimbot. Nor heard of it in the wild. If the magical MWO aimbot which has been rumored for 3 years now exists I have yet to actually see it. Mostly these posts are from guys whom think what they see is 100% perfect real time when in fact there is server side and client side stuff going on plus latency. Quit accusing and work on your game. If you seriously think someone aimbotted ... report it. Personally I think you may be a bit foolish in your assertion ... but hey its an online game ... everyone is entitled to their wrong opinion.

This video is utter BS. There is no way you can identify a cheat in here. If something is obvious it is you happen to believe something already and see what you want to see.

Crap, I can anticipate shots ... look at my map and listen to the audio in my headphones to know where and how to shoot ... not even mention timing. If this is a hack it sucks hard. Go back home and cry because this is weak stuff.

So ... please do me a favor and explain what is going on because obviously I don't see it nor even understand what you are trying to prove other than perpetuating a bunch of nonsense.

What would be nice would be if PGI were to add a record option like WarGaming has where it just records the data then uses the game engine for playback which allows you to view everything around you, it plays at various speeds and you can pause and look can look around and see what shot you down, I use it to help improve my game. But have used it to prove a cheating incident and frankly it helps a lot with bug reports as well, since it allows WG to see that actual data which in turn helps them to fix the bug quicker.
