You need to rexamine the stats. CERLL>CLPL.

There is a reason why the TBR still uses the CLPL after the nerfs. And it isn't because it's the best weapon. It's because you can't put any more heatsinks on the build with the tonage saved from the ERLL shift.

There aren't any other builds worthy of note that use CLPL anymore. The SCR has better options.

Well, kinda depend if PGI is gonna stick with Clans having range advantage while IS gets brawl advantages.

Thud 9S might need a small nerf. If you want to keep it strong at range, just nerf the cooldown. That would allow it to keep heat but not DPS for up close. No heat buffs for general E weapons would hamper it in a brawl and allow the 5SS to be the brawler. 9SE seems to be a mix of the 2 at the cost of heat/facetime.

Rushing is a part of warfare, sorry but it is.

Yes but mass stormcrow rushing is just lame. I would personally favor that they limit the drop deck to a max of 2 identical mechs.

The issue is the spot damage of the ppc. It and the gauss rifle have always been the most dangerous weapon in terms of breaking the game and if you've been in any completive matches in the last couple of days you know exactly what I mean.

I prefer to build my robots using the following process:

1. Add armor to max or almost max, stripping a little bit here and there for round tonnage numbers. Some mechs that don't make use of arms might also get a lot of armor stripped from there, like the Shadow Hawk 2K or my Loki builds (I only use torso guns on Lokis).

2. Add desired engine size (skip this step for Omnimechs).

3. Add primary guns with any applicable ammo.

4. Add some Dubs to see roughly how heat efficient it might be.

5. Maybe toy around with the guns/ammo/Dubs a bit if I can't find a good fit right away. Maybe throw in a TC1 or BAP as I see fit.

6. Juggle any needed modules to this new mech. Start with Seismic before any other and also add in UAV + Artystrike consumables. Weapon mods vary. If mastered, use the master slot on Radar Derp.

Public matches need more objectives(if anyone even doubts this)

CW more so but i prefer under the gun( pun) objectives for both attackers AND defenders over Camp Mechswell sitting by the campfire listening to tales of QQ.

It was awesome. Now it has a niche on basically 1 metabuild. If it were still awesome it would be awesome outside more or less 1 mech and 1 build.

I don't know.....they did lower the burn duration a little further but cLPL is still really good. You pay a mere 2 tons for a much better heat->damage ratio 13/10 vs 11/10. The burn duration is significantly less 1.12 vs 1.5. It also happens to be very synergistic with cErML (burn time of 1.15, similar range). Sacrifices a little range but still reaches far.

Builds I use it with:
LaserCrow 2xcLPL, 2xcErML, target comp mk1 (you could use 3 cErML, but you'll be turning 1 off for that sulfur map so....might as well make it a heat sink)
WubHawk 4xcLPL tons of heatsinks, ams+1/2ton, target comp mark 1
SniperFox 1xcLPL 2xErML target comp mk1, lots of heatsinks (well for a kitfox)

I think you sell it too short.....but each to their own. For anyone reading, try both and use the one that works for you!

SCR LPL builds are on the wane. The fact that people are not replacing ERLL with LPLs, the oposite is true.

Tons more CERLL in the past month on pretty much all clan heavies and SCR.

You have said you didnt want players boating long range weapons especially PPCs yet this is what players are currently doing. AGAIN

Double heat quircks are far to powerful.


In CW the problem is even worse with most cordinated groups only droping thunderboltz.

I also see more Awsome Q's daily with 4 ppc builds.

Thunderbolts cry against my 4PPC Awesome. I've taken down 2 in the same game before, SWEET SWEET DEATH. Including this game where I not only took out an ERPPC Thunderbolt, but 8 others as well. =D

What if we upgrade them to endo-steel tech 2 eyeballs? I think upping the refresn rate of your monitor to 120hz, and applying some color to the scene will vastly improve your robot killing potential.

Been fun but one class of mech does not outdo every other choice. Especially since you have the best in class heavy.

Yikes, the 2 AC5 dragon might be more OP then anything the 9s can bring.

10dmg every half second at several hundred meters.....tons of ammo and tons of yikes......

That opening sequence was funny and terrifying......1 little 2 little 3 little dead mechs, 4 little 5 little 6 little dead mechs......mowed down like 8 mechs in jsut a few seconds haha.

I've been saying for days the DRG-1N is an incredibly potent mech but people just don't want to listen. Just shoot the arm they said, meanwhile I'm getting consistent 1200-1400dmg out of them.
