I think your leadership has been roaring mightily so far, this even when having a smaller presence than other Clans.
Needs to be said I have no intentions to lead the Clans or CSJ, I prefer my freedom and neutrality. However the skills and advisory council I bring to CSJ I hope will be beneficial to efforts here and with other mutually beneficial interests for however long the relationship lasts.
Just happy to have more to help fill the world with grey. Let the snakes slither back to their holes, the Jaguar is on the prowl.

The Dark Born have offered a capability of using some of their tools by the CSJ Public players as members of the CSJ Smoke Alliance. This to achieve some standards and conventional understanding in helping people build and pilot Mechs more orientated to the 12 man team play in preperation for factional team play.
One of these tools, the RIG (Role information Gadget) uses various role conventions to determine how a mech might operate and has qualifying factors for it that help to orientate Mech and Tech use. It does not impose which Mech or weapons to use but only acting as guide to help determine which Mechs will operate in which role areas.
These include:
RECON: Scout, Spotter, Striker, Harrasser, Flanker
DIRECT FIRE SUPPORT: Light Fire Support, Fire Support, Heavy Fire Support, Lane Controller
INDIRECT FIRE SUPPORT: Lobber, LRM Boat
CLOSE QUARTERS: Skirmisher, Heavy Skirmisher, Mauler, Brawler
And a full guide to these roles is documented in support of the tools, this including guides for the tools themselves.
http://1drv.ms/1vrXteD
---
It also records the Mech build data and score the builds on a relative basis in the roles per faction allowing a kind of league table to be built up for players to see which might be a more preferable Mech as a suggestion to use, or to provide builds as "off the shelf" specifications that players can use for various roles.
The tool also allows you to compare the build performances with maps and skill use and it retains knicknames and smurfy links to show the build specifics in a more recognisable format.
It is intended that Workshops to explain the use of the tools to their fullest will be provided.
This then intending to achievie the following aims:
- Introduces public players to making more specialised team orientated builds.
- Helps to guide how you do the above.
- Raise awareness to building techniques.
- Help to standardise common references with some roles that units can use as a cross reference for themselves.
- Observes built suggestions and any progression with some specific meta or preferences.
- Encourages players to use the Strana Mechty TS server.
- Aims to introduce public players into the idea of working on the TS server and to meet and correlate with the CSJ Player units.
This may also later be offered as a public service to other factions of interest (E.g. CGB) in the future where these things can help to support Public player interests aswell as the Player Units, but helping to provide understanding between these elements and correlating interests for the upcoming factional drop process.
As a result if we can "raise the bar" in terms of using these tools for the intended purposes it will only help to improve performance and provide common references as a medium of shared definitions amongst the CSJ community.
This is currently being evaluated by CSJ Smoke Alliance members and also some aligned MERC units. And we aim to introduce this process as supported "optional" tools that members of the CSJ community can utilise if they so wish to help their faction achieve their aims more readily.
---
Other supporting tools including the armory to allow pilots to look at the weapon data with some guidance as to how they perform and in the near future perhaps also providing the idea of Codex related data also. This then extending the use of the above tools to allow pilots to not only look at their own "private" data (with pretty graphs etc and more metrics) and help them to analyse how they apply themselves and recognise preferences. But also to link this with the above RIG data tool to also compare their own applied use of role related builds.
---
More news to follow in the very near future after inital evaluations and revisions as appropriate.
Watch this space as the Dark Ark will be sending invitations on this less encrypted channel for CSJ public pilots and others to apply to make use of various facilities.

I am standing by with a Codex submission when/if appropriate.
I believe the value of insight to be gained from combined Codex/RIG analysis & assessment to be well worth the effort.
Looking forward to further exploration of Dark Born proffered services and resources.

Here is reference to the Dark Born role classifications:
The selected Mech will be applied to the LRM Boat category and as a result this role has special rules where only the associated LRM useage is calculated as per this support role. The CERMLs then appearing to offer no Offensive capability. But this is as intended as they are simply considered as backup weapons for this indirect support role.

The Dark Born Rig tool is now being made available to the following groups:
- Public CSJ pilots
- CSJ Player unit pilots
- Affiliated MERC unit pilots
- Affiliated Bandit/Pirate pilots
http://mwodarkborn.e...com/recruitment
Specifying which kind of organisation you represent.
---
Then you will need to apply to be able to make use of the various Tools for affiliated members, this also accounts for existing diplomats, friends and various other visitors already registered on the site:
http://mwodarkborn.e....com/toolsapply
---
As a result various pages will then be made available. These at present all identified under the Smurfy Menu heading that can be located in the top menu header on the forum as drop down options and include the following:
RIG forum (Tactical and Guidance information related to the use of the RIG):
http://mwodarkborn.enjin.com/rigforum
RIG Tool: http://mwodarkborn.enjin.com/rig
Armory: http://mwodarkborn.enjin.com/armory
---
PDF Instruction manuals are provided on the pages. However for members who might need additional support then please use the StranaMechty TS Server where you can find the Dark Born channels. Certain members of the Dark Born can offer additional help to pilots with the use of these tools.
---
This is the first addition in Dark Born offerings to enable certain members of MWO community to use. Other future initiatives to be expected as a result of the success and identified usefullness of this process.
Codex is a planned addition to assist with further pilot awareness and the use of their MWO stats.
Further community groups may subsequently be identified to also be included to make use of these facilities. This subject to identifying how managed a process it needs to be and with what level of support is required for it.

I quite look forward to exploring the RIG tool with analysis of my preferred CW Mech attached by Smurfy link above.
Of particular interest next would be (when it is appropriate) access to Codex Data Input and resultant analysis. When combined with access to the RIG tool these two tools realize unique synergies capable of powerful personal insight on MWO proclivities and Role core-competences.
I look forward to the this process continuing.

Simply trying to manage the process to be a smooth and supported implementation. Minimising the impact of any transition then helpful to this.
The codex will be something to apply in the near short term in addition to the RIG to help support these interests and the fusion of information it generates.
Other tools then also for later inclusion as additional benefits.
