Of course, PGI COULD change the Pilot Trees / expand them so that a pilot cold branch out to his preferred specialty in addition the the generic trees we currently have.

Something along the lines of once the Mech is Mastered then a new set of trees are 'opened' should the pilot want to pursue a specialty in that chassis/mech. Some sort of quirk could be added to the performance of the mech as you unlock the branches on the 'Tree', but it would only apply to that specific mech ( I dont know, something like added torso twist, better jumping (if so equipped), ability to 'target' the enemy at further range, a slight speed boost, target accuracy and so on...)

It will never happen. The new guys will cry and PGI can't make any money by suckering you to change your mech xp for GXP.

What if you just get 50% off on whatever you are most accurate with. and you can buy a velocity/burn time module for things you suck at.

How a derp Pug Pilot does on this test

1) Intelligence. Derp... XL Engine LRM ATlas... Check..



2) Situational Awareness. Holy **** a Light mech went over that hill.... must CHASE FOREVER...



3) Reflexes. Has 30000 DPI mouse while sniping 1000 meters away with medium lasers



4) Communication Skills. Cheating Clan HACK biatches!!!!1111!! get rekts



5) Coordination. Follow team playerz upclose so they cant move backwards! yessss



6) Stamina. /Have to poo.... should I start CW anyways? Yesssss /game starts...... MUST hold my Taco Bell..... oh noes!!!!!! /AFK 25 minutes.... /comes back 5 minutes before match ends.... gets to play all 4 mechs in 2 minutes
