(This thread is now a series of running operational assessments. An latest abbreviated FRAGO/OPORD and current assessment/battle tracking effort can be found at: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4142613

Previously this thread was named "Call To Arms - Idlewind Under Attack / Smoke Jaguar Operational Command", "Idlewind under attack, Clan Defenders Assemble" as well as "Idlewind Secure, Clan Operational Defense Continues .")

(Original Post follows: )
Representatives of Rasalhague (at least two PHL, 12 mans) have attacked the Smoke Jaguar planet of Idlewind.

One sector fell unopposed and two more are threatened. There are only two defenders currently queued against 24 Attackers.

As we have defended Jade Falcon, Ghost Bear and Wolf planets, I ask you to come to our aid now.

Well bargained and done.

It now appears that the Phoenix Legion Offensive on Idlewind was in part to siphon Defenders from Hermagor as this CGB planet has now lost all Sectors to its Rasalhague Attackers.

Excellent Strategy... true Strategy on a Grand Level.

Well Bargained and Done Rasalhague!

DERP is focusing there when its over 15% and attacking when under. Should be running 12-20 guys on those in an hour or so.

Excellent, and we will follow with spoiling attacks against your failing beachheads against stout Clan Ghost Bear Defenses. Yes, we held here successful last night and look forward to another main event tonight.

Overnight (a highly relative term in MWO CW) the newly resurgent FRR has renewed its assault on Idlewind.

Two sectors have been lost and the battle to regain these sectors has begun... though low Defender queues will delay a Counterattack for the moment it seems.

They only have 1 planet to take and we only have 1 to attack. Let us rally the troops and defend Idlewild and break this pathetic offensive, while we keep pressing the offensive forward. If Idlewild gets swamped, those forces on the offensive should act as a fire brigade and reinforce the defense. Let's send these dezgra a message loud and clear....Smoke Jaguar is not to be trifled with.

JGx will be there to back up the fronts and push them out of our space.

Almost wonder if its worth the time to focus on defense of a planet in our rear, vs not focusing on the push forward?

I understand your argument, however this is a matter of pride, but also strategically we don't know what this will open up in our backfield. Let us make the statement here that the IS will not attack us where they please and we will make them pay if they think they can.

Until the bug that allows that corridor is closed by PGI, we will focus on defending it in concert with efforts at Irece.

How does the FRR even have access to attack this planet? it's not on their border.

Blue Vengeance too did attack Idlewind once during Operation New Years Hangover. It was actually one of the few battles we lost during the whole offensive. CSJ PUGs gave us a tougher fight than all the CGB and CW 12mans we encountered.
I tip my hat to you Jaguars.

It is a bug. PGI has acknowledged that there are several like it on the map. Beta after all.

As have we. As a matter of fact I know when we (DERP) moved from CJF we said many of the same things about CSJ puggers. :)

Edit: yay phone autocorrect
