I know that you will came up with something like that. I think till now we will not surrender ;)

After analysing all battles fought by the 5 teams the result of the operation was.

Wins: 20 (74,07% of all battles)
Looses: 7 (25,93% of all battles)

So from my point of view we have not enough troops.

Hmmm... Do you want to say, that we (RSJ and RSV) win more than a half of your loses? We take 3 or 4 drops against your premades. Oh, we pretty tough B) :D

Could be possible, the analyse depend on the feedback of the dropleader.

I know that some RSJ drop against one team leaded by the 11th Legion of Vega and the 11th won this one.

Most honored and excellent paxmortis, while one can never be assured that invested effort will be returned, it appears that OPN CLAN UNITY (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4114431) was successful beyond my wildest hopes.

Prior to our most dire need at Chatham yesterday, Clan Smoke Jaguar invested seven ceasefire cycles toward Clan Common Defense under OPN CLAN UNITY.

By my count not a single Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Wolf or Clan Jade Falcon world has been lost to an Inner Sphere House during the 7-cycles of OPN CLAN UNITY.

Fatefully, your masterfully coordinated Euro-cycle attack fell as swiftly as a Summer Thunderstorm... but within 30-minutes was being met by steadily overwhelming response from Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon gamers choosing to honor OPN CLAN UNITY and returning at a most crucial time the earlier contributions of so very many Smoke Jaguar gamers.

By my count, as I withdrew from liberation of a nearby IS world and began myself to find Ghost Drops on Chatham, there must have been a near continuous queuing for Clan 10-minute Ghost Drops.

While House Kurita gamers continuously fielded 12-man teams to four or five sectors for 20 to 30 minutes worth of Combat each, after the 10-minute countdown, Clan Common Defense responders were executing (in the example of my Ghost Drop) 3:30-minute speed deconstructions of turreted defenses/reclamation of lost sectors. In balance, the lost to Ghost Drops overwhelmed the high success rate of DCMS troops in the field.

Time and the availability/willingness of Clan Common Defenders to come to Clan Smoke Jaguar aid, all were in our favor yesterday at Chatham yesterday. While I do indeed expect it was disheartening to have had such incredible commitment by so many fine Euro-Kurita gamers swept away even after it had reached 53% reclaimed... I can only offer that it was the unexpectedly strong response by Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Wolf NS Clan Jade Falcon which won the day for Clan Smoke Jaguar on Chatham yesterday.

On another day...

...if worlds of CGB, CW and CJF were deeply imperiled thus preventing OPN CLAN UNITY from getting off the ground...

...OPN WYVERN just might have achieved it's goals.

The matches I did find on Chatham yesterday were especially challenging, resulting in both losses and wins for me. I look forward to future opportunities to test my MWO-gaming-mettle against the Dragon's finest! Thank you for gaming.

Good luck and good gaming,

Meet you on the (Benjamin) high ground,

May your Opponent-of-the-moment's resolve fail him, long before your last auto-Cannon round slams into the breech!

Thanks but the idea for this operation and the one how contact the poeple was Onai Tekimata. He is/was the head behind this.

I made only the coordination for the drops and wrote the combat status.

Understood, and my apologies for earlier confusion.

My thanks to both of you for your contributions to a better MWO gaming experience and for being a key and crucial component to the improving strength and vitality of both the DCMS and Kurita Gaming Community.

SITUATION: Since the 20JAN patch, CSJ has successfully liberated 8 of the nine Kurita planets identified for Smoke Jaguar operations. While no Kurita threat materialized against Smoke Jaguar planets during the liberations of these seven planets, the Kurita attack on the Smoke Jaguar planet of Chatham was particularly effective and if not for a significantly large contribution made by Clan Common Defenders would have placed an even greater burden on RDL, RSJ and RSV (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4130839). The Euro-Kurita threat to Smoke Jaguar interests is on the rise and particular attention should be shown in the future by CSJ Units to the status of all,CSJ Defenses. Once a threat materializes, while one Unit member should "Call the Banners" among all 12-man Teams in Strana Mechty TeamSpeak, the remainder should consider queuing as defenders at the earliest opportunity.

24JAN - OCEANIC CEASEFIRE WINDOW: Excellent effort by DERP on the recently liberated world of Shimonoseki. Meanwhile the Smoke Jaguar world of Chatham, which was the site of a spirited Kurita attemptted attack earlier in the day, was largely tranquil permitting the population a period of calm in which to continue the transformation to Clan life.

24JAN - EUROPEAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: In-progress now. While CSJ forays to harass Kurita Defenders on Brauton continue, just two sectors have been secured with the Ceasefire Cycle now at the mid-point. It can be expected that Euro-Cycle Smoke Jaguars are taking this time to rest and refit after their heroic defense of Chatham, this time yesterday.

24JAN - NORTH AMERICAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: If Brauton does not fall to CSJ forces during the European Ceasefire Window, it's selection during the NA Ceasefire Window is likely.

MISSION: Remains UNCHANGED with the single exception that the next Clan Smoke Jaguar liberation objective is the Kurita planet of Brauton. If liberated, an additional Kurita planet is expected to be selected for the upcoming NA C-cycle.

EXECUTION: Remains UNCHANGED with the one exceptions:
1. The current Smoke Jaguar liberation objective is the Kurita planet of Braunton.

ADMINISTRATION/LOGISTICS: NO CHANGE

COMAND AND CONTROL: NO CHANGE Caveat: this thread remains my contribution to generate a common narrative to inform CSJ MWO forum readers of a general intent and purpose to the day's CW activity. It is expected that this product will be refined to take best advantage of evolving combat opportunities across Clan Space.[/i]

BRANCH PLAN ONE - NO CHANGE

BRANCH PLAN TWO - NO CHANGE

BATTLE TRACKING LOG

0512hrsEST - Many CSJ loyalist Units and loyal Mercenary Units were responsible for achieving a complete liberation of all 15-sectors on the newest Smoke Jaguar planet of Shimonoseki. Such a 5-hour effort now affords CSJ 3-hours to contribute drops in Clan Common Defense (http://mwomercs.com/...ion-clan-unity/) of Ghost Bear, Wolf and Jade Falcon.

1252hrsEST - Euro-cycle CSJ effort to liberate the Kurita world of Braunton is kicking into a higher gear as now three sectors have Ben seized with combat currently in-progress in Sectors 4, 5 and 6. More to follow later...

2047hrsEST - Availability of matches continues to dwindle as the liberation of tonight's Kurita world is now complete despite some fierce DCMS resistance. Unfortunately there are only a few rapidly being reduced threats to other Clan worlds under OPN CLAN UNITY. Dropped twice in a Clan Common Defense effort, and will be lucky to get much more than one more in. The queues are rapidly shrinking as one Clan world after another is swarmed with OPN CLAN UNITY, Clan Common Defense tropes.

2359hrsEST - House Marik and House Liao Units execute a remarkable effective relieve effort in support of House Kurita. A detailed report is available at the Smoke Jaguar Alliance forums: http://www.smokealliance.com

CEASEFIRE ASSESSMENT: - As outlined in the full report (linked above), many aspects of the attack on Tarazed bare remarkable utility to CSJ. This kind of Enemy coordination is increasingly likely as CSJ comes ever nearer to Terra.

CEASEFIRE RECOMMENDATION: - I propose that CSJ look to develop internally, a capability to execute an operation on par with the Marik/Laio raid tonight. And also to develop countermeasures to negate the effectiveness of what is described at the link above.

(My apologies for the late posting of today's FRAGO. I was instead working on the following: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4134556

As there are substantially different audiences, I provide this to you now. The FRAGO will follow shortly.)

View PostDeathlike, on 25 January 2015 - 01:27 AM, said:

That twinge of FRR space (the 3 planet groupings) in GB is mighty tempting though...

CGB.

To my way of thinking, those three planets represent a great source of potential friction and instability. If at the very worst time (say on the last day of 228 and REM's contract in another 4 or so days) another UNSANCTIONED attack on the last planet between CSJ Space and the pocket of FRR were to be successfully carried out, CSJ would find itself thrust into a situation with two very active Fronts.

Consider if you would the above situation occurring, AND 228 and REM then return to FRR...???... CSJ would find itself in a particularly precarious position.

I have supreme confidence that CSJ ((after 228 and REM 2-week contract is complete and they move back to the Inner Sphere) can match up to and have epic CW matches against the best DCMS-effort that House Kurita can bring to bare. I have always admired our House Kuriat fellow gamers and look forward to each planet we contend over.

However, if a situation as I described above (228 and REM leading an FRR offensive out of the 3-planet pocket) were to be thrust upon us, I would advocate for a single day truce with House Kurita.

That is right, a Kurita truce lasting 1 day / the three cycles it would take to completely reduce that pocket to nothing, thus eliminating a thorn in the side of our CGB ally and forever ending the instability and friction that these FRR planets represent to CSJ.

Why might House Kurita be open to a possible truce?

It will come down to a question of honor, and will House Kurita choose to side with ISMA surrogates operating principals in FRR and always in support of FRR.

Some of the same Mercenaries who incited CSJ toward War with CGB in our forums and unilaterally invaded CGB planets have been uber-active in Kurita threads cultivating influence with the Dragon:

http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4119885
http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4116353
http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4112019
http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4114547

If Kurita's situation is so very dire that Kurita High Command openly condones and actively supports Mercenary duplicity in crafting through fifth columnist a second front to disrupt CSJ - - - then so be it. It will just be a unique and challenging facet of CSJ's liberation of Terra along the line of march to New Avalon.

In the case of an ISMA / Kurita "Axis," in my opinion CSJ should strive to FIRST eliminate the 3-planet FRR threat before redoubling our efforts on the Kurita front. The rationale behind this is that if given our maximum attention, even if high-profile ISMA Mercenary Corps Units use the FRR cluster of 3-planets as a base from which to attack CSJ, I believe a concerted CSJ limited offensive could eliminate the FRR pocket in one day (3-cycles) or perhaps 2-days (6-cycles.)

In this course of action, CSJ would need to appeal to Trothkin in Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon for a great deal of Clan Common Defense assistance in order to best hold off deprivations of the Dragon on Smoke Jaguar worlds while we complete focused reduction of the 3-planet FRR pocket.

Once this reduction is complete, secure in the sure knowledge that our flank with CGB is secure once again, CSJ can regain any subsequently lost opportunities along the line of march to Terra.

Besides the relentless March on Terra / New. Avalon, the single most important CSJ consideration IMO is the overriding imperative to maintain the peace with CGB. There is not a doubt in my mind that the aggregate CGB leadership / gamers will honor their peace with CSJ... now there will be dissenting opinions with a very few Units from both sides likely to occasionally desire Trials between Clans of one nature or another. But it is possible to mitigate these sporadic occurrences without a reactionary jeopardizing of the Peace.

Crafting a Strategic Perspective, ensuing timely communication between (and within) each Clan and ALWAYS looking to build context to facilitate a full, understanding of a circumstance BEFORE rushing to action.

These precepts, if generally followed will further empower efforts and tactical actions under OPN CLAN UNITY (http://mwomercs.com/...ion-clan-unity/)

Remember only a very small relative minority of Clan gamers have currently lost focus and are feuding with their Trothkin. I also have NO DOUBT that Machiavellian-actions of the Inner Sphere Mercenary Alliance (ISMA) are using these temporarily distracted Clan gamers as a small set of "Catpaws" (http://en.m.wikipedi...iki/Cat%27s_paw) to delay Clan progress toward Terra.

I call on ALL my Clan Trothkin, whether you be Ghost Bear, Wolf or Jade Falcon, to cast the ISMA scales from our own eyes and to help our temporarily mis-purposes fellow Clan gamers to do the same.

With CLAN UNITY as only a guide, let us redouble our cooperative and collaborative efforts and take not just Terra but New Avalon... as well as ALL the Capitals of the Inner Sphere.

Let's bring the Clan Invasion to the Houses of Marik, Liao and Davion, for they will surely share the same fate as Rasalhague and Luthien - enveloped in Clan Space... small islands of largely House-centered, parochial concerns unable to work together in an effective manner during MWO CW Beta.

If we do this well enough my Trothkin, the Inner Sphere will have to adapt better tactics, with a greater likelihood that IS gamers will gravitate to the leadership of IS gamers who proved themselves despite losing Terra to us during the Beta.

An Inner Sphere with better tactics and consolidated down on proven leaders will present to our Clans a much better fight once CW Beta is complete and the map is reset at Launch.

Beta has been a blast... but 2-4 months of further PGI refinement will see a truly epic BattleTech experience for all of us this late Spring/Summer (IMHO.)

View PostPeter2000, on 25 January 2015 - 07:03 AM, said:

So what it sounds like is that your top priority is a march to Terra. Fair enough. The point every recently-joined group on here is making is: We're doing that, with ease.

When there's no more work to be done on that front, why not put a little pressure on our neighbors and get some games and win some glory?

Excellent question, that is simple to answer.

The Clans are a unifying Faction unto ourselves, why would we commit Factioncide when we can look to the heart of MWO Community Warfare and ensure our side - the Clans win?

Patience, planning and preparation WILL see one side, the Clans or the Inner Sphere ACTUALLY win this Beta?

Now ask yourselves, which side has the better chance to win?

Will the Clans reach Terra?

Or will the Inner Sphere Houses and ISMA prevent the Clans from gaining contiguous Space with Terra?

I know where my vote lies... with the Clans.

PGI needs to tweak this next IS quirk pass to provide the IS with an AC Brawler to compliment the Thunderbolt 9S and the Resistance Pack should be the DECISIVE quirked #GameChanger for The Inner Sphere so that CW Launch is a more competitive gaming experience.

SITUATION: Since the 20JAN patch, CSJ has successfully liberated 11 of the 12 Kurita planets identified for Smoke Jaguar operations. Two large-scale Counterattacks were of note: the Kurita attack on the Smoke Jaguar planet of Chatham was particularly effective (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4130839). Equally impressive was an attempt by a 12-man from Liao (APOC) and a 12-man Marik Faction Drop to counterattack in defense of the Kurite world of Tarazed (SECURED after action report available at: http://smokealliance.com) I participated in 3 matches against the Kurita Counterattack, which was named OPN WYVERN by the DCMS (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4130533) and four matches (2 against APOC and 2 against the 12-man Marik Faction Drop) while all were tough competitive matches, good sportsmanship in chat predominated. Great fun was had by all.

24JAN - OCEANIC CEASEFIRE WINDOW: Excellent effort early in the Oceanic-cycle pushed the Kurita liberation effort to 100% in the first five hours of the cycle. No threat to either the Smoke Jaguar world vulnerable to Kurita attack nor did a threat materialize as a counterattack to prevent the CSJ liberation of the Kurita world selected by PGI algorithm.

24JAN - EUROPEAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: Solid CSJ effort beginning just prior to mid-cycle, pushed CSJ liberation of the Kurita world in contention to 100%. No threat to either the Smoke Jaguar world vulnerable to Kurita attack nor did a threat materialize as a counterattack to prevent the CSJ liberation of the Kurita world selected by PGI algorithm.

24JAN - NORTH AMERICAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: Early CSJ effort pushed liberation of the Kurita world in contention to 100% by mid-cycle. Thus far, no threat to either the Smoke Jaguar world vulnerable to Kurita attack nor has an Inner Sphere counterattack yet materialize to threaten CSJ seizure of 14-sectors on the Kurita world in contention.

MISSION: Remains UNCHANGED with the single exception that the next Clan Smoke Jaguar liberation objective is the Kurita planet of (please see CW resource in references above). If liberated, an additional Kurita planet is expected to be selected for the upcoming NA C-cycle.

EXECUTION: Remains UNCHANGED with the one exceptions:
1. The current Smoke Jaguar liberation objective is the Kurita planet of (please see CW resource in references above).

BATTLE TRACKING LOG

2012hrsEST - Partial battle tracking results for today listed a above under "SITUATION"

2031hrsEST - OPN CLAN UNITY mission refinement continue. This post is the latest comprehensive effort: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4134556

2357hrsEST - Reportedly a Mercenary Corps Unit has attacked and seized the lone remaining CGB planet between CSJ Space and a three-planet pocket of FRR Space. It is highly likely that a contiguous border will now exist between CSJ and FRR with one Attack and one Defense available to each Faction per Ceasefire Cycle.

CEASEFIRE ASSESSMENT - With the opening of a boundary with FRR, CSJ now has a second Inner Sphere Front (albeit a Fromt only 3-planets deep.) Of more significance is that FRR now has three Clan borders. This will drive FRR to prioritize its defensive efforts. Because the 3-planet pocket is so very remote, and once CSJ reduces it, there would be further threat to FRR from CSJ, it is assessed that while Inner Sphere Common defenders will defend against CSJ attacks, no large-scale (36+), sustained (2hr) Counterattacks by FRR 12-mans (Unit or Faction drops) are likely, and no Attacks out of the pocket will occur unless FRR gets a late influx of Mercenary Corps gamers.

CEASEFIRE RECOMMENDATION - I strongly recommend that the pocket of three RFF worlds be reduced at the earliest possible time, well prior to the end of 228 and REM contracts with CSJ so as to bring to bare maximum combat power.

SITUATION: Since the 20JAN patch, CSJ has successfully liberated 14 of the 15 Kurita planets identified for Smoke Jaguar operations.

24JAN - OCEANIC CEASEFIRE WINDOW: Great effort by all Smoke Jaguars who contributed to the liberation of two Inner Sphere worlds this morning (EST), both the Kurita world of Avon and the FRR world of Jezersko. The initial push complete 15 9f 15-sector liberation of Jezersko by the midpoint of the Oceanic-cycle, with the final push to take Jezersko becoming a slog, hard slog, only just managing to capture the 8th sector once time had elapsed and the very last match was completed. Again excellent effort by all involved.

24JAN - EUROPEAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: Inner Sphere Common Defenders created and insurmountable numeric advantage in the number of defenders arrayed against CSJ as it attacked the FRR world of Last Frontier, retaining that planet for FRR. Euro-cycle, House Kurita forces sensing an opportunity commit heavily to an attack on Kilmarnock, but are repulsed in large measure to the selfless sacrifice of many Clan Common Defenders.

24JAN - NORTH AMERICAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: It is assessed that the FRR world, Last Frontier will remain CSJ's objective under the NA-cycle. There is no reporting to indicate the Combine is planning another offensive to retake Kilmarnock, however every Unit should maintain close situational awareness of the CW map and as they may choose; rejoin CW and aid in the defense of whichever CSJ world is imperiled.

MISSION: Remains UNCHANGED with the exception that the priority of effort should be to first take the FRR wold of Last Frontier, and then transition to Defense of any CSJ world imperiled, followed by liberation of Last Frontier from House Kurita and to complete the cycle's priorities of effort, an immediate transition to support any Clan Common Defense effort capable of actually retaining a CSJ world.

EXECUTION: Remains UNCHANGED with the one exceptions:
1. The current Smoke Jaguar liberation primary objective is the FRR planet of Last Frontier.

BATTLE TRACKING LOG

1623hrsEST - Partial battle tracking results for today listed a above under "SITUATION"

1723hrsEST - All Clan Smoke Jaguar contract bonuses were just removed. All House Kurita Bonuses were just doubled: http://mwomercs.com/...d-smoke-jaguar/ The "House Kurita Sale" on Mechs and Cockpit items now in high gear: http://mwomercs.com/...at-1000-am-pst/ Such focus on House Kurita will open a temporary window of renewed interest by Mercenaries Corps Units and Lone Wolves in serving for a time with House Kurita.

ASSESSMENT: We have a challenge worthy of Clan Smoke Jaguar, the imminent contract lapse of 228 and REM, combined with a Draconis Combine made more vigorous and effective with the impending influx of Mercenary Corps Units as well as Solos looking to take advantage of the best contract bonuses (doubled) in all of MWO CW. As a Clan we wil need to focus our efforts along standing lines of priority: FRR world first, Defense against Kurita second, Offensive against House Kurita third, and completed by an immediate transition to aide our fellow Clansmen in defense of their own worlds.

CSJ can weather this particular storm. The liberation of the last two FRR worlds within this and the next Ceasefire-cycle wil go a long way to both securing our and Clan Ghost Bear's flanks as well as letting us once again focus all CSJ effort on the Draconis Combine.

2320hrsEST - Tonight there were two worlds nominated for liberation, one Kurita and one FRR. This afforded CSJ gamers a full evening's (EST) entertainment as it took more than 7-hours to get both worlds to 100% liberated and even then occasional Counterattacks would gain a sector or two right up to Ceasefire cutoff.

CEASEFIRE ASSESSMENT - Quick analysis of the past day's CSJ effort, appears to indicate the while the CSJ Oceanic-cycle of gamers can defend one and attack one / perhaps attack 2; CSJ Euro-cycle had their hands full defending one earlier today at a time when Kurita gamer representation is historically very strong; and finally the NA-cycle appears capable of attacking two and at least defending one from Inner Sphere deprivation.

CEASEFIRE RECOMMENDATION - I recommend that CSJ better understand the dynamics facing our Euro-cycle Jaguars and as is appropriate within gaming time availability maybe drop an extra CW match or during the day as available during the weekday (EST.) Now please do not misunderstand me, we have EXCELLENT Euro-cycle Units and gamers, it just appears to me that House Kurita has an exceptionally strong Euro-presence, that through its consistency made this particular cycle the most challenging for CSJ to currently overcome.

Understanding the nature of our match-ups throughout each of our Ceasefire-cycles, is one way to establish and maintain CW expectations as to why CW "success" needs to be defined differently for each set of Smoke Jaguars who game in the different cycles (Oceanic, European, NA.)

In my opinion, it takes a much more concerted, determined and success-producing Gaming effort from our Euro-cycle participants to win a planet from Kurita than in our NA or Oceanic-cycles where we have demonstrably more gamers thus more gaming hours to dedicate to CW.

Thus every Smoke Jaguar Euro-cycle world captured or Kurita OPN (like the Combine's OPN WYVERN http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4130533) defeated is a comparably more difficult and greater achievement for our RDL, RSV, RSJ and Alpha Legion Trothkin than a similar achievement in the other two cycle.

I mean no disrespect to ANY Smoke Jaguar gamer, I just want to build a better set of norms and expectations parsed out by cycle and informed by both Enemy and Friendly situations.

Please add below, any questions, comments, criticisms or concerns you might have. Thank you.

SITUATION: Since the 20JAN patch, CSJ has successfully liberated 18 of the 19 Kurita and Rasalhague planets identified for Smoke Jaguar liberation operations.

Three large-scale Counterattacks were of note: the Kurita attack on the Smoke Jaguar planet of Chatham was particularly effective (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4130839).

Equally impressive was an attempt by a 12-man from Liao (APOC) and a 12-man Marik Faction Drop to counterattack in defense of the Kurite world of Tarazed (SECURED after action report available at: http://smokealliance.com)

I participated in 3 matches against the Kurita Counterattack, which was named OPN WYVERN by the DCMS (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4130533) and four matches (2 against APOC and 2 against the 12-man Marik Faction Drop) while all were tough competitive matches, good sportsmanship in chat predominated. Great fun was had by all.

24JAN - OCEANIC CEASEFIRE WINDOW: Great effort by all Smoke Jaguars who contributed to the liberation of two Inner Sphere worlds this morning (EST), both the Kurita world of Shimonoseki and the FRR world of Trondheim. The initial push on Trondheim liberated 12 of 15-sectors by the end of the Oceanic-cycle,

24JAN - EUROPEAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: House Kurita has proven consistently that DCMS forces have a decisive numeric superiority during this particular CW-cycle. OPN WYVERN was the Kurita OPN targeted against CJF just a couple days ago. In the future we should anticipate further and increasingly more effective and efficient named operations from House Kurita. Efforts are underway to see if this past loss of MacAlister was due a a DCMS High Command-sponsored named-Operation.

24JAN - NORTH AMERICAN CEASEFIRE WINDOW: It is assessed that the Kuita world, MacAlister will remain CSJ's objective under the NA-cycle. There is no reporting to indicate the Combine is planning another offensive, however every Unit should maintain close situational awareness of the CW map and as they may choose; rejoin CW and aid in the defense of whichever CSJ world is imperiled.

MISSION: Remains UNCHANGED with the exception that the priority of effort should be to first take the Kurite wold of MacAlister, and then transition to Defense of any CSJ world imperiled, followed by liberation of Last Frontier from House Kurita and to complete the cycle's priorities of effort, an immediate transition to support any Clan Common Defense effort capable of actually retaining a CSJ world.

EXECUTION: Remains UNCHANGED with the one exceptions:
1. The current Smoke Jaguar liberation primary objective is the Kurita planet of MacAlister.

1557hrsEST - Today House Kurita spearheaded an immensely successful Inner Sphere Common Defense Counterattack effort on the Kurita planet of MacAlister. After completing a second consecutive match against a 10-man REX team from House Steiner, our Faction Dropping band of Jaguars saw that the Ceasefire had already fallen and was at the 36-minute mark. CSJ was winning the effort against the Combine at this point with a 9 of 15 sectors liberated thus 60%. However just minutes later the final tally fell to just 3 sectors in CSJ control thus 20%. It is estimated that at least 2 to 3 of the sectors lost to the final stage of this Counterattack was due to Ghost Drops. This performance by Kurita was by far (IMO) the most successful counterattack of any Inner Sphere Faction against a CSJ liberation objective.

Much respect and honor to House Kurita's DCMS for leading a Inner Sphere Common Defence force in relief of besieged Combine forces on the Kurita planet of MacAlister... but we learn from our setbacks, unlike the Smoke Jaguars of Lore and will be ready for round two tonight.

2001hrsEST - The Kurita world of MacAlister has been liberated to 100%. Smoke Jaguars now queue for CW in Clan Commin Defense in accordance with OPN CLAN UNITY (http://mwomercs.com/...ion-clan-unity/)

I got lucky and faced an eleven-man QQ group (minus Karpundir) in defense of the Clan Wolf world of Feltre. Our Solo-Team with no-TeamSpeak battled for 18-minutes, killing 18 QQ but losing our Mechs and the Omega of Sector Two, one of 7 installations in this planet's Sulfurous Rift.

Sharpshooting was the hallmark of QQ success at one time having rendered non-mission-capable 17- Defender Mechs while not losing one up until that point. In all honesty, mega-props must be given to our Clan Wolf Dropship Pilots who accounted for three of the QQ dead and hundreds of points of damage besides.

Great effort by all my fellow Clan Common Defenders!

And much honor and respect for QQ's most excellent Unit Tactics and individual gunnery skills.

Well met, former and always Jaguars, well met indeed.

2349hrsEST - During the last 90-minutes of the NA-cycle, Inner Sphere Mercenary Alliance (ISMA) four 12-man teams (MERCSTAR, MS(Clan Kodiak), ACES) speed dropped on the Smoke Jaguar world of Polcenigo, Ghost Dropping their way to a very quick 43% (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4142650). this link provides a summary of the entire ISMA duplicitous attack on Polcenigo.

ASSESSMENT - ISMA... some have asked as to the specific member-Unit composition of the ISMA. To these erstwhile CW enthusiasts I offer that membership in the ISMA is defined by actions rather than a Lore-based Faction like House Davion. In MWO, PGI has crafted for us an exceptional Community Warfare experience, and I thank them for that. Under the current Beta CW mechanisms large Mercenary Units have IMO an undue impact over Loyalist Units. Now don't get me wrong, just like in Lore when House Davion tempted the Northwind Highlanders with their ancestral home of Northwind (http://www.sarna.net...ind_Highlanders) It is RIGHT and PROPER for any Mercenary Corps Unit to break contracts (AND LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES AND REPERCUSSIONS.)

Let's look at Lore for an further example offered by the Northwind Highlanders. When they abrogated their contract with Liao, House Liao did not continue to let the Highlander Seniors continue to administer the governance of planets which the Highlanders were responsible for conquering. While some Highlander family members choose to remain loyal to House Liao, there were dramatic and invasive repercussions for the Highlanders, In this same fashion, PGI should ensure that once a Unit changes Factions, planet "TAG" ownership should either transfer to the next highest "victory point" total for that planet or perhaps revert back to a non-TAG status.

RECOMMENDATION - Let not a Mercenary Corps Unit's primary intention be to "Planet TAG" everything in site regardless of Faction Border. Instead introduce into Community Warfare a measure of #Consequence and thus reward Loyalist Units who forego #FactionHopping in favor of true loyalty to heir chosen Faction. This would be more realistic than one large Mercenary Corps Unit supposedly holding down governance responsibilities for 38 planets in five Factions spanning both sides of the Clan v Inner Sphere conflict.

CEASEFIRE ASSESSMENT - Tonight's combat against surrogates of the Inner Sphere Mercenary Alliance was decisively won by CSJ Loyalist and Loyal to CSJ Mercenary Corps Units.

CEASEFIRE RECOMMENDATION - With vigilance CSJ can deny ANY territorial losses to ISMA surrogates. TeamSpeak runners who "got the word out" are to be commended for compiling near two dozen Common and Closed Unit TeamSpeak data/passwords. Continued Overwatch and timely execution will ensure no Clan Smoke Jaguar world is ever lost to ISMA aggression.

BREAK BREAK BREAK

Inner Sphere Mercenary Alliance (ISMA) attacks the Smoke Jaguar (to be repatriated to CGB) world of Polcenigo under the guise of Clan Ghost Bear.

Since Clan Ghost Bear Seniors had not pre-coordinated any OPN CLAN UNITY repatriation action, Smoke Jaguar Alliance Seniors immediately realized the true nature of this very disingenuous ISMA attempt to incite CGB / CSJ aggressions.

The clear lines of communication between CGB Seniors and CSJ Seniors confirmed that NO CGB Units were participating in attacks on Polcenigo.

Thus freed for response, CSJ defended the local CGB population from ISMA predation.

Four 12-man ISMA teams (MERCSTAR and ACES) gained through Ghost Drop 7-sectors, then as DERP, BSM, SA, 267 12-mans responded, in a manner of 90-minutes the ISMA Planetfall bastion was reduced to just 3-sectors.

The Inner Sphere Mercenary Alliance was defeated in direct combat by a very responsive and highly skilled Smoke Jaguar Alliance.

Accolades and recognition go out to all Smoke Jaguar Solos and Small groups that rushed into the breach and delayed in-game the ISMA Attack on Polcenigo. I would like to especially thank all the TeamSpeak runners who got the word out...

....in the truest traditions of Paul Revere, Knowledge was Power tonight and thanks to your work and the calm, sure coordination between CGB and CSJ Seniors, we met the ISMA at our very gates and denied them ANY opportunity to incite further distraction in this Clan Rear Area.

...oh yes, and good job securing our only Offensive target, the House Kurita world of McAlister 3-hours early tonight. This cleared the boards for a UNIFIED response to the ISMA attack.

In all the finer traditions of the Smoke Jaguar, you did ALL Clans proud as you defeated the ISMA's finest Units tonight.

...and you legitimately had the opportunity to refine Clan Tech on Clan Tech tactics, techniques and procedures. We'll need these Lessons Learned as the ISMA will continue to use fifth columnist (false flags) from among our Trothkin in CGB to execute future PIRATE RAIDS.

No they chose to forego an honorable confrontation and join Kurita forces to battle against CSJ. A blatantly and desperate need to give themselves the advantage of Clan Tech was the ONLY way ISMA Seniors thought they had a chance against Smoke Jaguar Units and Solos.

As EVERYONE who views this can now attest, even at its most duplicitous (assuming the guide of CGB) the Units that compose the ISMA failed in their first DIRECT ACTION against Clan Smoke Jaguar.

Focus on 100% liberating of our Kurita objectives within the first 5-hours of every Ceasefire Cycle and CSJ will have 3-hours to meet, defeat and reduce ANY ISMA attacks to our rear area.

Clan Smoke Jaguar ever-continues toward the liberation of Terra first, once the Kurita planet is 100% liberated, ALL Smoke Jaguars are invited to defend against ISMA wherever they can be found. Tracking of ISMA efforts against CSJ are posted to http:/www.smokealliance.com

I just began a new thread in the Mercenary Corps Section entitled:

MERCENARY CORPS UNITS - RECOMMENDED CONSTRAINTS, RESTRAINTS, CONSEQUENCES AND REPERCUSSIONS
Started by Prussian Havoc, Today, 01:54 PM (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4144456)

Please check it out and add whatever comments you would like.

A well-reasoned and constructive debate could help provide Community feedback to PGI as they go about crafting CW Phase 3 and beyond.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort in reading this and considering it.

This is, bluntly put, a terrible idea, and amounts to nothing less than discrimination against players who don't fit your mold of picking a faction and staying glued to it.

So not only do mercs get a lower LP income rate, they also don't get to play CW AT ALL for 2 days after picking up a new contract, they don't keep tags for longer than their contract, decreased income, etc. For what heinous crime? Doing what Merc units are supposed to do - look at the map, look at the rewards, and pick a new contract when the current one expires.

I don't mind making Merc play different from what it is now and giving more flavor to it, but this is insane, and just punishes Mercs.
