The good players found the quirked mechs and the heat is not in the game anymore.
Part of a Mech is the heat management.
If the Heat Managment is taken out of the game through quirks there is nothing to take care of and the fun of piloting this kind of machine is gone, too.
The IS will win the CW and it's over.
Before it is changed there is no sense in playing for systems in any way.
Mechs are running around with erppc and don't have any drawback. The perfect weapons.
The ghost heat is quirked out of the game.
I hope PGI is wise enough to go not further this way.

Ideally I would prefer a prorated tonnage balance but that was not the route chosen.
The issue is overpowering a single chassis rather than boosting the entire IS mech arsenal which is definitely needed.

Is the Thunderbolt 9S over quirked? Maybe. Is it the perfect mech that is heat free and dominates all? No.

...and the nerf whine continues from the unskilled, as usual.

Funny, this maps says otherwise. You better take a good look at it before you make such statements.

So is leg armor. But I see lots of clanners shaving a lot off to get those extra heat sinks for their laser vomit mechs.
Truth us, and you know it, IS needs more quirks.

Does the TDR need to be drawn back? Yes, but don't be whiny about it.

Even on Borel you can overhit a 3ERPPC Thud in 2.5 Salvos, just like you could with the Awesome back when PPC's were hotter... but what everyone learnt was trigger discipline. One of the few mechs that can compete with Clan Range at the moment seems to be filled with hate threads from Clan based players.
Could they lower the quirks like they did to the firestarters?... they most likely will, or they'll do the smarter option of providing quirks to other obsolete clan mechs to see if people will change their playstyle on the clan side from the Timber Wolf/Hellbringer/Stormcrow... you might only have a few mechs to choose to play well in CW but their all great mechs that take a variety of builds and huge amounts of range alpha damage. So you're asking the IS to give up the one machine that can compete with such machines (since majority of long range builds are flaky... XL dual guass jagers, and most IS builds focus on brawling/medium range combat... not the 800+m of the clans).
Both sides need machines to be competitive... the Clan's have 3 of them all in the prefect zone of weight/firepower/utility... IS have the Thud for range, then they build unique decks for themselves.

I think they need a separate quirk system for CW and solo drops.

I suggest if Thunderbolts are giving you that hard a time you apply this liberally prior to dropping in CW. It will make for a smoother experience and is cooling and soothing to boot!
Also consider that the Thunderbolt pilots may have just skilled up to equivalent skills of Stormcrow and Timberwolf pilots.
I hope next time sensitive areas will be less sore.

Seriously, up your game. The quirks, overall, are terrific! My matches have become much more interesting since they premiered, and I am having the most fun ever now!
...And yes, I do own TDRs, and no, I don't run ERPPCs. I can proudly state that I was one of a few who didn't sell mine when I won it in PGI's Challenge, and that I did not allow the quirks to entice me away from a very fun build!
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
