Sigh.....PGI has the metrics, they know if the TDR ERPPC beast is OP, but ....all I know is that if the comp teams are running solely 9S ERPPC ....which they were in 8 games against them today..than its an obviouse abuse of a broken game mechanic.....which should be obviouse, really...just think about it for like 2 seconds...12 of the same mech with the same load out.....over and over again

But go ahead and defend and misdirect this reality.....

When it gets nerfed, we will all know who was right and who was just defending their own stats...or cbills

This is exactly the conditions what game developers look for that is ripe for a nerf. And this is what happens to all games everywhere.

Because the fact there is no similiar 3/3/3/3 restriction on CW as opposed to normal matches doesnt have anything to do with this issue (even though 3/3/3/3 sometimes malfunctions/outright dies on a release day of some mech), Leading to cheesy crap like 12 light firestarters on the battlefield at the same time,12 Thunderbolts, or 12 king crabs (b33f T_T), or 12 of any mech the team would want to field (on the clan side, SCR/TW).

Well, all I'll say is I still see more Timber Wolf mechs and Hellbringer mechs than Thunderbolt mechs. If TDRs were that OP, they would be overwhelming the Heavy queue.

I just came from two matches where the enemy 12-man had at least 8 3xERPPC TDRs in at least three waves. Do you not see anything wrong in that?

But I am also so tired of these never ending nerfs. So, one way to possibly quell the obviously growing discontent is to also give one or two Clan Chassis similar ERPPC quirks given to Awesomes and Thunderbolts. I say give the Summoner and Masakari the same treatment. I have seen very few Masakaris and absolutely no Summoners so far in CW. ERPPC quirks should help players in deciding to bring more of them.

Nerf it with the timberwolf/stormcrow or don't nerf it at all. Really don't feel like hearing IS pilots screeching about bias

Th3 only reason this mech is an issue is because there are good players in organize group who just wreck your face with it. In the hands of pugs or bad players, it's not really an issue so if you nerf it, the good players will just find something else to wreck your face with. Perfect balance is unobtainable unless you give every mech the same thing. Maybe it could be toned down a bit so that you don't see a match where the first 12 mechs you see are ERPPC bolts (which I have seen a couple) but again, they will just find something else to beat you down with. Adapt and overcome.

Imo the 9S was in a good place before they doubled the ERPPC quirks during the 2nd pass for some reason. I was already running it after the first pass and it was a very solidly performing mech running 2x ERPPC+gauss.

I was very surprised to see the quirks doubled! Just revert it back to 25% and it's perfectly fine.

I dont know why everyones complaining about these, i rather they fix the magic hitboxes on stormcrows. Every other shot just goes through them like they were ghosts.

Ofc the 9s is op. aswell as the dire dual gauss ppc , srm timbers lazer timbers, lazer stormcrows dragon 1n, smallpulse firestarter, and so on. They are all differently op. Differnt playstyle.

Nerf all or leave em all untouched

The 9S is good, very good and actually feels like you are at an even footing with the clans in CW. While I don't think it really deserves a nerf it is getting popular enough that some diversity needs introducing. This could either be buffing something else to offer an alternative or hit it with the nerf hammer. Something like the cat K2 or one of the quickdraws could easily have had positive quirks for ERPPC to offer some alternative. I do think it needs to be toned down a little so that it isn't an obviously better ERPPC platform than the awesomes. In general I also feel the awesomes need a bit of a buff

Lol
The reason you see so many of it is its weight!
65 tons is a good weight to bring to the 240 tons restricted CW! You couldn't take 3 70 ton mechs (if you want a viable light), and you sure can't take more than 2 75 ton mechs, and IS has no good mechs in these weight classes atm anyway.
And the Warhawk is a tier 1 mech in its own right! Stop whining about this mech already! L2Mechlab and play it like an 85 tonner instead of like a Dire Wolf!

Surprisingly, you can build equally as terrifying ERLL builds with the 9S as you can ERPPC builds, and they run much cooler.

Because of the -25% energy heat, and much much lower Energy duration, its almost like the ERLL used to be before the genius upped the ERLL duration for god knows why.

I'm actually having some success with mixed loads instead of dedicated ERPPC builds.

9S also has dual AMS, which comes in pretty handy in pug land, and nobody but me seems to utilize it.

I'll just keep playing mine like this, then I don't have to feel like a *****.

From a PUG standpoint, I don't see them as that overwhelming. I don't even see them that often. I do use my 5SS Thunderwub from time to time and like it, but the range limitations means I have to exercise a lot of caution.

I have yet to try 9S. I don't have much of an opinion on piloting it. I don't see it much in solo question. I guess it is really good from what I hear.

I guess my opinion is I don't care. Sure, tweak its quirks a bit, but if you leave it a lone, it Wong affect me either.

I ll make it short:

Some ppl got their jimmy rsutled by 12 man/woman comp coordinated team who dropped in their 9s´s and replied fire over and over again from long distance against clans. Clan players werent expecting the Is to be that good and effective on long range

Those comp teams will rustle your jimmie in any usefull mech/loudout anyways.

did you guys seevideo where the gauss crab 12 man destroying the enemy 48:0?

And some not so useful Mech Load outs when they are just letting off steam.

Still does not improve my health when it comes to video gamers.

Hmm. You seem to be mistaking my expression of concern for whining. But that's nothing new from you.

There is a lot of discontent out there about CW. I have seen players just disconnect upon seeing a second wave of 3xERPPC TDRs. Heck, some have disconnected seemingly in disgust after seeing just the first wave. There is already a lot of grumbling from masses of solo players. And even some units are already avoiding CW. At this rate, very few players will be playing CW or even MWO. Is that something you want? Or do you just not care?

Also, do you think the Summoner deserves to remain as is? I am asking because I have seen no one using it so far in CW. In addition, I am seeing very few Warhawks out there. Heck, for most of my CW matches, the only Warhawk around was mine. :(

In any case, variety is very much lacking on both sides. Something must be done to promote it.

When you start seeing literally 10 identical mechs in a drop, that just might be a red flag that something is rather borked for balance.

From a lore perspective the ERPPC was hot as hell and almost no mechs had more than 2 of them. Not only can the 9S mount three but it can chain fire them in rapid succession pretty much all day long.

Honestly PGI should probably not make bonuses stack.

If a mech has a generic quirk like Laser Cooldown and a specific like ER Large Laser 15% ... they shouldn't combine to make a 25% reduction. It should just use the better of the 2 bonuses that apply to the weapon.
