Word up,
I'm predominantly a clan pilot but I cut my teeth in hunchies & recently I've been getting the itch to take my AC20 hunch out again.
The 3 variants I bought to master were the 4p, 4sp & 4h. At the time, the 4h was universally regarded as superior to the 4g as an AC20 platform, but with quirks the h is specialised for the AC10, a weapon I've never liked much at all and Im not sure what to do. It seems like a waste to keep the AC20 on it because Im not taking full advantage of the quirks and the AC10 seems like a weapon that is too heavy for the damage it does.
I can't really be bothered to master a 4G just to use the AC20, what are people doing with their 4H's these days? Am I slaved to the AC10 or are there any interesting worthwhile builds that dont use it.

Seriously, try a 4G. Those things are indecent, firing an AC20 that fast. They're insane.
As for the 4H, it gets extensive medium laser buffs, and still has range and Coldown buffs for all ballistics. 726m optimal range on a gauss rifle for example.

I'm running a quirk build on it, and I'd like it better if the AC10 also got some velocity buffs. It's good, but not my favourite setup on it.
However, once moduled and mastered, the cooldown on that AC10 is insane. So if you and the AC10 get along, you'll love it.

I run AC10 and 5 ML. The AC10 with cooldown has a really nice rate of fire and the 450m range goes a long way. It's fun to pilot but those 5 ML's can push the heat too high.

posted in the ultimate huncback thread already but here's my build: HBK-4H
Basically the same as the AC20 build I used to run but with a medium laser in the head instead of a small laser and a bit more armour. Does seem a bit underwhelming on paper but the quirks on the 4H really do make the AC10 a viable primary weapon, and medium lasers benefit nicely from the quirks as well (bit too scared to actually try the 5 medium laser build though; looks way too hot)
I ended up getting the 4G for the AC20 quirks which are pretty awesome, but the 4H is still fun.

HBK-4H
This is what I've always wanted to run on the 4H but never felt it was worth it until the quirk pass. Its actually quite a little monster considering that with all the modules and skills that AC10 fires as fast as an AC5... (1.575 seconds cycle time)
The 20% heat generation quirk for the 5xMlas is also nice but you still have to be careful not to over do it. A combination of sustained AC10 fire and lasers will make you overheat. That being said, assuming you sustain a barrage of fire on a target you will have dealt a good chunk of damage.
