For awhile I have not seen a single Vindicator Hero Mech and that is troubling. Ever since the last quirk update, Nothing was good was given for the vindicator's Hero Mech the "St. Ives Blue" Most of us rarely see them on the field and its depressing that a hero mech like that and only a 45 ton medium is not being able to be put to use because of garbage quirks. Dont you think it needs to be looked at? I think it needs changes. The 3 main variants got quirks that were just duplicate quirks and i dont know wtf PGI was thinking. Lets give them something to look at shall we?

I really like my St Ives Blue, it's a fun one to play, but admittedly is nothing "special" to pilot. Some quirks that gave it a little edge would be really nice.

What we really need is higher engine caps for all 180 engine 45t mechs. I know that the rule of thumb for medium mechs is original.rating * 1.3 and this seems to work for all mechs >= 50t. Although even there the Cent and Hunchback got 275 ratings instead of 260.

But for the BlackJack and Vindicator original.rating * 1.5 would be in line for those 180 engine carriers. That would result in a max engine rating of 270 and a max speed of 107kph. The VND-1AA and BJ-1X are fine as is, but the rest isn't.

They gave the Panther a factor of roughly 1.8 and that one is only 10t lighter. The Urbi will get a factor above 3, so what is the reason to limit these two chassis in such a brutal way? They don't even get 10 TruDubs...

Edit: I would also suggest to increase the number of missile hardpoints for each vindicator by 1.

This exactly. I'd say it needs 10% energy range. The LL range quirk swapped with a 10% LL lower heat quirk or keep it and add something else.
But the main reason i don't use St.Ives much is because i like the 1AA best of all because of the high engine cap.
