Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right category for this post. I know that MWO is working with Razer on new controller, but I saw that another controller was developed and presented at E3 (this one developed with Hawken team) and in my opinion it looks better than Razer one.

This controller is called Mek-Fu and is supposed to be available at Q1 2013. Do You think that MWO will also support this? I know it is fully customizable but I think it would be cool if MWO had it profile out of the box.

i doubt it will have a MWO profile out of the box. I dont see it making sense, from a business stand point to do some thing like that when you just announced your own controller

I believe the Mek-Fu was being put out for Hawken yes? AFAIK there's been no confirmation on whether its compatable with MWO, but its at least possible. You might have to assign your own profile for it though.

Unless they have some agreement, you'll have to assign all manually

I think it has something to do with marketing and Razor Coop.

But Mek Fu will Support ALL named Mechagames from the Past and new ones comming out.
So im realy sure they will programm a configuration for MWO
If MWO can take all the options of MekFu is a other thing.

To be honest this looks soooo much more like a mech-specific designed controller than the Artemis (which only feature that really stands out is a screen that not even confirmed to be a touchscreen, where's my torso twist, my independent arm control?)

The only thing which seems astonishingly lacking from the Mek-fu is a evident throttle, though... that is a notable lack.

Wow. Love this things look. Remind sme of some of the control panels in the Abrams....and one fo their designers was a tanker so go figure.

I think I see two throttles.

It wasn't until I read this forum til I realized there is a small yet strong following for the twin stick control scheme. with the left stick providing (I'm guessing) analog input for throttle and leg direction, there seems to be a potential for more control over maneuvering this way. any twin stick jockeys have an opinion?

Pretty sure that the throttle is located on the rear of the left joystick as a pressure sensitive lever it looks like, couldnt see where else it would be on the joysticks. Thinking of the Mek Fu due to its more broad and accepted compatibility. Also it has a complete com set, and I see no need for a touch screen that would provide any advantage over not having one. Both look great but the Artemis fails to utilize two joysticks instead using a throttler with a numpad setup near it which still wont provide independent controls of moving and aiming and torso articulation.

Razer's controller is just an attempt to bleed large amount of money out of Fanboys with a cheaply thought out product like the Swtor line. Compared to the Mek-Fu thier controller is totally useless. Not only that. The artemis is probably going to be a resource hog and bog down most system's just like the SWTOR Keyboard. They may even put useless shortcuts to facebook twitter youtube and email.

Not to mention that i saw a comment saying that you would be able to use your ipad or tablet as a display on the mek-fu ;)

Ya..I saw the mention of I-pad as well for Hawken...I disreguarded that title then and there. While both controlers look good, I`ve never been a fan of "speciality" controlers. And for me at least, Razers quality has taken a mis-step IMO. I have had 3 DeathAdder mice in 3 years....the last one died the other day. When I contacted them, it was too bad so sad...buy another one. And actually, I haven`t seen anywhere that Artemis(sp) was a done-deal. If it is, expect a price tag of probably $300 at least.

Holy gods! The Mek-Fu looks gorgeous. Looks a lot like the old Steel Battalion controller I have in my closet. I'll probably look into it after it comes out.

I think the Artemis and Mek Fu will be for a certain niche market. Pricey and limited use for only a couple games maybe.

One of the sticks is the throttle. The mechs in Hawken can side-step, and so a full stick is needed to control movement. The second stick controls aiming.

I don't like the Artemis at all. Like in Steel Battalion there should be two sticks so Mek-Fu ist Spot on!
Left Stick movement and turning
Right Stick crossair
Cooli head torso movement

Right stick without a center spring. So you know where you aim. Whould love it.
