current CW matchmaking is just isn't fun for both side involved. If group want to fight group, let them. I believe most serious clan already play in CW, and they should have one hell of time fighting each other.

The pug should just get a pug que, and this will improve overall experience. Most PUGs still not playing CW because of the stomp matches.

P.S. Just look at the low # of players queing for CW in general.

The whole concept is that the match maker and CW was definitely built primarily for Units and groups of 12.

Maybe if you keep repeating that it's meant for groups and 12mans, pugs will eventually realize that it is their solemn duty to get stomped on so others can have fun.

Or they will just go play solo queue and cw will die.

You mean like all the other games like WoT that don't even let pugs play in their CW?

There is no reason to solo drop CW anyway, its better money in the public queues.

yet, we all know PUG has larger population.

I don't expect MWO to have as large player base as WOT. You can tell right now with PUG there isnt enough players in CW. The que problem is only fixed once que # is displayed for pug so they can all crowd into 1 or 2 planets, and it is mostly clan vs IS.

No doubt. But the MW4 leagues didn't have huge numbers of players, and it lasted for a long time. The more features that get added (such as MC rewards for holding territory, more game modes, more maps) will bring players into CW either as pugs or in units. The unit players will continue to play, and the more competitive groups we face, the more competitive we will become. We will adapt and expand with people who want competitive unit play. Maybe one day instead of a handful of 'competitive' units, there will be dozens. And CW will just be more fun for us. Which is a lot better outcome than turning CW into another pug queue. We already have one of those.

I don't think it's quite appropriate to compare MWO to MW4. That is because when PGI shuts its doors, MWO ceases to exist.

I doubt, a handful of competitive group is going to pay for the development and running cost of CW. also a game mode just for a handful is not COMMUNITY warfare, its small groups warfare

Well you can pay for it in your pug drops then. Just like solo players in WoW can't do the big raids but pay anyway. ;)

It is being tweaked, apparently, but you need to get used to the fact that the CW queue is the stomping ground of 12 mans.

Here's my advice: sign up with one. You don't have to play with them all the time, but sometimes, giant stomping robots are more fun with friends. 12 manning might even fill a hole in you that you never knew you had.

Yet, MWO does not have the hook of WOW, because it is not build on having community or big social game. At least it isn't yet.

That is crap, Blizzard spent years making sure that there IS no community, none.

I am in a great community, thank you. It is the solo players who don't have a community. And if you think adding VOIP is the same as adding a community, you are mistaken.

Haha, I gave up arguing. You do not have to listen to suggestions, as long as PGI listen and think it through. If they do nothing, CW might just die, and all that giant maps are for nothing but for shows.

Also they might just cease adding new features into CW, because it does not earn any money.

CW doesn't 'earn money' now. Almost every penny this game has made was before CW. ;)

You do know that by adding a 'solo queue' you will just create a queue that all those elite players you are trying to avoid can join while on comms, right? All you will have accomplished is making sure you don't have any groups on YOUR side.

If you take the pugs out, MM can't complete teams. Group of 5 and a group of 6? Need a pug. Two groups of 4 and a group of 3? Need a pug. Group of 9? Three pugs. Sure, you could say "only allow even numbered groups or multiple of 4" ... and then the unit sitting there with 7 people online gets slightly screwed - somebody has to leave, and that's not fun.

Plus, without pugs, we wouldn't have the population to sustain CW.

I disagree - I see 60+ queued up for every planet that matters majority of the time. Sure, there are a lot of planets that sit at 0/0, but that's because they don't matter and aren't a priority for any of the major units who decide faction agendas.

My C-Bill wallet disagrees. I've been making about 700,000 C-Bills per drop in CW, and each drop is average 35 minutes including waiting in queue. I don't make that much in public queue in the same amount of time. Maybe 600,000, tops.

I've been in 12mans in which we've been absolutely stomped by pugs. You'd be surprised how little voice comms has to do with success. Hell, we've even got a topic on our own forum talking about NOT underestimating pugs. A team that uses competitive builds and sticks together is going to wreck face, pug or not. That's all there is to it. No, you won't be able to take on a 12man of Lords, but neither can most other 12mans.

Where's my, "12man minus the good comp teams," queue? Oh wait, it doesn't exist. We clearly aren't as organized or have the personal skill that many of the comp teams do. Landing a game against a 12man of SJR is just as much of a challenge as a pug team coming across any normal group. Why should you get a special queue that gives you perfect matchmaking while the rest of us get slaughtered to players at a much higher level of skill and organization? Oh wait! That's right! It's community warfare! It's designed so that stronger players and teams win.

Find a group, rally the pugs, or go back to your special pug only queue. Some of us like a challenge.

No. I enjoy my solo drops. I lets me build test and defend our planets when I want to solo drop.

apparently your challenge is stomping pug, bravo?

Let's just admit it, the ugly truth is that 12 men like to stomp PUGs. ego trip
