Community Warfare has been described by Russ and a couple of other devs as being specifically designed for 12 man pre-mades.

Many of our population are in smaller units or PUGS...

Is it Community Warfare or is it "Competitive Unit Warfare"

Not that I know any numbers specifically, but I would imagine there are far less ready to go 12 man groups than there are smaller groups or PUGs. Even if I am incorrect, I personally know of many guys who only PUG or like the RiverHounds, are in a small unit, and are being left out and ignored over CUW.

I could go out and grab up the nearest garbage warriors I can find to make the RiverHounds able to field a 12 man, but our goal is to only have local guys we know in the real world to play together, this was supposed to be our way to go mech smash together. You keep groups like this (and others, let alone PUGS) out of CUW and its kinda BS, just like the "Russ made statement" that they may require premium time, or MC, MAYBE even cbills... so, is that how it is guys? P2P now?

I am kinda twisted about this, seeing as I still haven't gotten response from them about the money they have already grabbed from me, and not given me my pixel property, or even responded to my tickets (From the WAVE 2 Collection) Are they kidding us, they want more, for this BS game mode that is tailored to a group I shall now call the 1%ers....

I know CUW is in beta and unless they release the grouping demands for it to some degree, they will find it having a smaller population sooner, rather than later, the only way I was able to get into (grouped or not) a match was because of the stocking stuffer event, which forced EVERYONE to play in the CUW queue. (Wait, wasn't this designed for 12 mans)

Ps. sorry if I offended anyone

Agree!

Smaller units & Solo PUG'ers need to be catered for as well - they must be in excess of 50% of the playing population

Definitely not 1%ers. By any stretch.

My unit is small(ish) with just 25 active players. The unit size allows us to all remain fairly tight-knit while fielding enough players to take part in CW with both smaller groups and 12 mans.

We're not competitive, but we win more CW matches than we lose. And as an IS merc unit in the FRR, we've faced off only against clanners, and often against some of the top larger and/or competitive units in the game.

If you can get a group of 6 players on comms, you stand a very good chance of winning your CW matches.

IMO, the only barrier to playing CW is your attitude and your gaming abilities. Group size is not the issue some choose to make it.
