Help the Smoke Alliance "turn the world grey" one planet at a time and earn your place in rewritten battletech lore.
Who here is part of the Smoke Alliance?

-SC- is on board... it has been an honor fighting with all of the Units representing Clan Smoke Jaguar thus far. We will continue to do everything we can towards the defense of all CSJ planets and the march on Terra.

The Smoke Adders have earned our love through their heroic actions in the field, going above and beyond in their defense of allied Ghost Bear.
They have our support in all things.

The larger groups seem to be in contact but....are there any plans in the works for a central forum or something of the like for all CSJ units to join if they wish to coordinate...I know there are several smaller groups who don't have the people to run 12 mans every night who could use something of this sort.

Soon the 267th will be up to par with the other top CSJ units, and will be able to help make the alliance go far !

If your group is small, for example, yer running a four man, link up on comms and we will combine pilots to make a collaborative group and synch. It works the vast majority of the time, especially when, its a 12 person mixed crew.
Additionally, we are in discussion with a handful of units about falling under the SA tag to increase the value of their efforts, while those units retain their distinct identities, recruiting, practices etc. So long as a unit, operates with the same sense of decorum, sportsmanship and does not have blanket open recruiting this is an option.
As our friends in the Mercstar Alliance have demonstrated, it is wholly possible to have multiple, distinct units operating under the same banner for a common cause without losing their distinct identities.
Regardless, the Smoke Alliance will continue its deliberate grind towards Terra, and even though we are game-restricted from trying to seize Luthien, it is clear that we may someday isolate it from the rest of the Dragon, which would be a huge victory in itself. And we suspect a lit fuse resulting in some of the best possible fighting.

Thank you very much for the detailed answer sir...See ya on the battlefield.

Hail,
I cannot speak for Lukoi, but I am of the impression he is looking for that as it does seem to be working for MercStar. That being said we can organize and sync drop attempting to get on Teamspeak 3 for coordination even if your not interested in the above. We often have spare pilots dropping that could group up with other units or at least make themselves available.
It works well if we are using Strana Mechty or track down other units where they are online.
Seyla,

SmokeAlliance.com
to discuss their CSJ specific concerns within a private atmosphere. It is, and will remain a bare bones site intentionally, with no mech-builds, "other game" forums and the like.
This website is purely to replace MWO's very limited conversation PM system which currently only allows 7 (? or so) players to have a private conversation via PM.
The two forums available have general discussion/debate etc a binding discussion section between unit "leaders."
=============================
Before being authorized to use the site, I will confirm that you applied there by talking to you on your account here or in TS, in order to reduce an influx of non-CSJ aligned players and potential spies.
Good hunting.

While obviously CW is in its beta stage and much less collaboration/coordination is merited than one might expect, the fact that a dozen units are willing to check into the site and touch base for information, ideas and to trade intelligence observations of our opponents is telling.

Or can a Solahma mechpilot without a unit join you too ?
( I dont want to create a new unit with only me as member )
MfG, MEX
PS: As my access to your website raised the "Prussian Havoc" vote and the Trial he was demanding, I have to add the following :
Such a Trial, acccording to Clan lore, wouldnt be a Trial of Grievance but a Trial of Refusal and would be a single battle against all his opponents in this matter at once, with forces on each side according to the outcome of the vote ... and I am sure even he doesnt want to fight a "1 versus 10" 20min private match in a light mech !
Maybe he just discoverd that the ODDS for winning such a Trial are NIL and withdraw his demand for a Trial and deleted his posts in this topics because of this ...

What will follow are a series of seemingly disjointed posts by gamers who quoted and responded to my original post(s) here in this thread.
I apologize for what developed into an unintended though eventual run-away thread high-jacking.
All PM's requesting clarification will be responded to, though I will refrain from posting in this thread in the future,
Good luck and good gaming.

You and I had a discussion via PM's that illustrated the concerns voiced. None of which involved your recent hiring of VRGD, AS, 228th as you well know.
You pepper your commentaries among these forums with fairly frequent digs at the units and players involved in the Smoke Alliance, myself included with a near constant mention of "LB" as if I am running some form of cabal here, in fact attempting to belittle the confederation earlier as near-sighted, bickering folks incapable of seeing the long-game, the drive towards Terra. And then, ironically, coming here to ask for reinstatement.
Couple of points of fact:
- Strana Mechty TS is not owned, leased or controlled by me. I am an admin, but it's not my effort and claiming otherwise would diminish players like Cyphersphere, who does all of the work to maintain that free-to-all Clans, 512 person TS server.
- The Smoke Alliance website (also not paid for by me...or anyone actually, outside of the -.com leasing) does not deny players of any rank, unit lead or not, from being a member, discussing, voting with their thoughts etc.
Your constant attempts to label the confederation of units as elitist, flies in the face of both logic and fact. Units are asked to have a representative vote because they are speaking for a large group of players...they are committing their forces to an effort.
It's a video game. People are free to join us, play within the consensus we try to generate or not. No one is forcing them. Members of my unit voice their opinions and we play. If folks felt so strongly that their minority vote was the "right" answer they can always refrain from participating, vote with their feet and leave or start their own unit in-line with their own vision. There's no bad blood in that.
No one unit runs the Alliance and there have been more than enough issues where my unit was outvoted on issues and I am sure there will be in the future. We could choose to accept those disagreements and continue to work with our confederates or leave the alliance. We have yet to see an issue on the table where we were so opposed that we could not suborn our ego's enough to keep working with these units and that consensus building has paid off. For the most part, I believe the majority of CSJ units get along extremely well and are willing to work together when the occasional crunch time comes, to pool resources.
Your attempts to denigrate us for choosing to retain the Star Adder label (for mild role-playing history's sake) are funny btw...again...video game. We are playing it to win, in the faction we have chosen to apply a permanent contract to.
You were voted out because people felt you were adversarial, consistently implying you represented the will of the Alliance (or even all of CSJ) and working against the efforts of the Alliance directly with your arrangements in which you postured yourself as representing more than just yourself as a pilot. We were constantly handed your efforts and essentially expected to just accept them. Even players from OTHER factions not associated with the Smoke Alliance have commented here and throughout the forums on this very thing. Most daming, your own unit leader when discussing this with him, did not argue the point that you needed to remain on the website.
You are a prolific poster, extremely passionate about the game, clearly have all of the time in the world for it and while we agree on some things and disagree on others most of that remains moot. Sometimes when you think it's "everyone else," it might actually be you.
