We have I think a day left in Kur and then we will be back to CSJ for a week.

We are doing a week in CSJ, then a week in a different faction and then a week back (and so on..) until we go through all the factions so our guys can bank up some free mech bays from faction rewards from all. Plus this allowing us to get some experience fighting different units and seeing what different strats are being used.

We were quite shocked to see how easy CW is from an IS perspective using certain drop decks using the quirks as intended.

Well I'm glad at least some folks are not afraid to say that about the IS quirks for CW. It'll be good to drop with you guys again soon.

We dropped with 9x 4N's and 3 ecm lights a few times and it was a baaaad day for the enemy. I get the feeling IS is just going to say nasty things to us no matter what we do (clans or is) lol

NS has quite a few pilots with Clan mechs, so we knew the strengths and weaknesses fairly well. IF you know what you are doing then IS Drop Decks can be setup to get optimized to each map. It isn't perfect and honestly the Timbers are still better regardless. The issue I see with clanners is the randomness of how the Timberwolves are used. The lack of unified builds in a drop is kinda amazing.

That is VERY true and a big fail point. Even in our group I know who will be using what build on a timber to a degree but you always have to ask as to make sure how you need to play the map.

TBR is the best mech in the game, no question. Doesn't mean it's the best at any particular thing, particularly in CW. ERLL sniping? Terrible hardpoints, and worse optimal range than you'd get on the snipers your unit loves to bring to Boreal. Midrange engagement? Assuming the numbers in the other thread were accurate, is outperformed by the 4N at something like 450-800 meters if it's running the standard 2xLPL + 4xERML. Brawling? Hope you don't meet a Dragon (and yeah, l2aimnub...but my god arm was shot off, like, twice over the course of a bunch of drops this weekend, so...)

You're right that a unified plan/loadout would certainly mitigate this, of course (and the speed/maneuverability means you can exit the 4N's preferred envelope fairly quickly). Oh, are we defending Boreal? Is NS active on the planet? Okay, everyone make sure you've got JJs, let's go charge the snipers. Or whatever.

I've asked a forum admin to move this post to the Kurita section, recruiting posts from a Kurita member are not welcome in the Smoke Jaguar Forums.

You real didn't read the whole thread did you?  We are normally in csj.   Only went Kurita for a week.  Will  be back to csj late tonight.  Are you going to contact the mods and ask for the thread to be moved back tommorow?   Oh and who made you khan of Smoke Jags and our diplomate?

Shoot, I don't even belong in this forum, but know that DERP is primarily a Clan SJR Unit and a good one at that. Get with it!

...By your line of reasoning, my own Unit should have got booted over here to SJR when we chose it for a week, despite the fact that it was the only contract we've ever had where we were Clanners...

I am sorry, but we have been percon CSJ since the beginning of CW and are CSJ loyalist. We broke contract to go a week out and week back and so on till we have farmed rank 6 in other factions of rewards while CW is still beta.

As you may notice in my sig below out crest is in the middle of of the SA banner which we have been a part of since it began.

And to be honest, I really have no clue who you are or who appointed you CSJ Khan? But maybe if you knew more about CSJ you would realize who we are :P

LOL that's why I asked. Because neither Smoke Adders nor Smoke Alliance have left CSJ as far as I know.

All I can say about DERP is this. Complete Jerks. I made a suggestion in DROP was immediately told to F*** you. And that they were the 9 man and we were going to do what they said.

Now..I normally don't have an issue with that. However, I DC'd briefly to point out that players do not have to tolerate this type of behavior. I rejoined, and was told I was rude, and to F*** off and leave anyways.

Now I'm thick skinned generally, and it's one thing to joke around but this is bull. (and no I'm not in seraphim or anything)

I took the opportunity to just drop match.

I've been playing this game a long time, but thereis not point in being a jerk, and it would appear it permeates the ENTIRE Organization from what I just saw.

I nothing good to say about them.

A: Nobody in DERP cussed at you over coms.
B: Your "suggestion" was to hump Omega on Vitiric Forge vs. a KCOM 6 man and assorted JF pugs.
C: BluntObject told you what a stupid idea that was and we declined to follow your advice.
D:You RAGEQUIT!!!
E: Profit.

After our encounter with you I tried to remember where I had encountered the displeasure of your company and it occurred to me that I have seen you give very bad advice in the past in the solo que. We had a disagreement similar to this on Terra Therma once, just as the Tukayid event was beginning. You told me that I must run with some crappy team that had no idea what it was doing. Lo and behold, the next day myself and the rest of DERP ran into your team on Tukayid ( you were defending on Emerald Tiaga ) where we proceeded to trounce your ass. Anyway, kewl story bro!
