I usually dont start thread. So I apologise if this have been posted before.
Really dont know if its old news or just recently added, but I noticed alot of grey solar systems/ planets around the IS and Clan territory. Found it realy odd that a lone wolf faction tag showed up on a few of the grey solar systems at the edge of Steiner space.
Now I cant remember seeing them yesterday or before, I usually look around the map alot before entering CW, might have missed them though with all the rukus going on.
If my memory serves right, those are Periphery/ Deep Periphery state/ faction solar systems/ planets? Found Trondheim twice of all things! In FRR and to the northwest of Kurita space, also quite a few around the edges of most IS factions.
Now, correct me if Im wrong. But do I see something awesome brewing on the horizons?

Yeah. The MoC and TC are cool and all, but not all the factions have enough people as it is.

Is it really that their aren't enough people in each faction or is it that the queue's for community warfare aren't matching people effectively? I just find it odd that I can play regular matches within seconds and it's always with people I've never played before but when it comes to CW it feels like a ghost town. I'm not challenging you or anything I was just wondering if we actually know how understaffed each faction is.
I for one would love some home clans/periphery states. The CW map has all the clan homeworlds, Kerensky cluster and pentagon worlds in it so maybe it's a possibility.

It's that there aren't enough people in each faction actually playing CW, the only place where your faction matters. There could be eleven million Smoke Jags in the public queue, but if they aren't playing CW, you'll never fight them in CW.
It's hard to tell for sure how staffed or not each faction is, because any number of your faction could be off defending another faction from the Clans/IS. The only sure numbers you can get are from the number of people lining up to defend your worlds, or attack on your border (and even that's wonky if you border a clan).
Presumably, PGI knows, and that's why they have increased the payouts for certain factions.

Yeah I agree with that. I guess if community warfare can provide better incentives for playing it we could see more participation. Maybe then we could get our current factions fully staffed and PGI could make some new ones!
