In the interest of helping new players find builds that, at the current point in time, are competitive, so that they can at least have a way to do decent damage. I do not know the extent to which PGI tracks what happens during drops. We know they track what mech is dropped, but not necessarily the loadout.

If loadouts are in fact being tracked, I propose that the store be filled with the 10 most commonly used mechs and the loadouts put on them, priced accordingly. For Players still on their Cadet bonus however, the mechs are at half price to give them a chance to afford the shineys that come with it. ( XL Engines, DHS, Endo.)

A TDR-5SS, for example, with an STD 300, DHS, and boating purely MPL, costs about 9.5m.

Someone with a cadet bonus would at least have a viable mech to get Cbills with, and still have some left over to level a chassis reasonably quickly.

That ruins the fun of getting wrecked and then using that very same build against people!

Still. As a new player without even basic skills on their mech, little to no understanding of how a skirmish goes on all the maps, with trials that are superior to most stock builds readily available, I feel they should be given gyidance in what would be an effective build so they arent stomped into quitting when they take their new mech to the field.
