Here's mine, 30 years old. Not as fast as some, not as slow as others.

Going to try one more to see if it's any better or worse:

Slight improvement. So faster than some, not as fast as others. I was aiming for average, looks like I got it. ;)

Take it easy for now everyone <S>

Just because you can hit a button fast doesnt mean you are accurate.

I will take someone with .1 slower reaction time, that has 100% more accuracy.

All in all, you are only measuring one part of a skill set, without measuring the other skills involved. So you aren't getting any meaningful data.

incorrect, you are getting reaction time given a specific set of circumstances.... Its useful ... in specific circumstances.

But I would take someone with a .5 reaction time who knew tactics and didn't do stupid things all day over a .1.

Old is a matter of perspective really. I'm 43 going on 21. I don't feel old. But yes, patience is something that comes with age. I like to think of it as refinement. :D

I feel like I'm going on 84...maybe its the flannel slippers ?

Woot woot! 1st try at 37 years old on a 2 button Dell work mouse and in the sub .200 club...too bad that doesn't explain my mediocre KDR.

I'm sure years of video games and sparring people in a boxing ring helps with the reflexes.

Well, this game is far, far down the list in terms of reaction time.

How am I incorrect? Did you even read what I said.
You are getting a reaction time of someone clicking a button. That is 100% correct and what I said.

What is also correct, is you are not gathering information on someones accuracy.

Reaction times and accuracy are not the same thing.

Someone can react faster than another, but not perform the task properly or accurate or as accurate as someone with a slower reaction time.

Again show me where my statements are incorrect ever.

Easy peasy:

"So you aren't getting any meaningful data."

That's what you wrote.

It is meaningful -- it gives you the optical recognition to mouse activation click speed which has been demonstrated to be higher in players who perform better at twitch-reflex games.. So, in short you were incorrect in that specific statement. Given the importance of having a better than average twitch-speed in most shooter games there is meaning there even if you choose not to see it or refuse to acknowledge it -- well: Jesus rode around Jerusalem on a dinosaur.

Now where is my prize?

I guess this rules out gauss rifles, at with their 2.25s maximum tolerance. But at least you still have LRMs.

True enough. I'm between 1.25 and 1.5 but I'm always wondering how guys get their KDR to over 2.5 as a whole. Maybe they just play the same mechs over and over?

I'm sure 361 drops in a Trebuchet didn't help me in that regard...
