Klappspaten, we do not want to be Clan Warriors. This is no RPG game and no RPG forum.
So let us stick to the aspect that matters. Playability and fun of a game. would you not agree it is pretty pointless to defend with PUGs at the current state of CW?
I still drop for the Wolves, sometimes with other Coyotes, sometimes just on my own. But that's more out of stubborness then anything else. We field Groups of 4 to 8 at best, often there are just 2 or 3 in a group. Since many have given up playing PUG, there are nearly always 2 to 4 people in a drop who are new to CW and I suspicously often see Prime variants that would be trial mechs.
So you expect PUGs without clue and communication to drop against coordinated pres and wonder why they are leaving shortly after that not very entertaining experience? At the current state of CW you can expect to meet in 70% of your drops a PUG that will stand lined up to get sniped by coordinated IS pilots. Is that fun to you? Maybe because it gives a feeling of superiority. But in the long run it would be as boring as no defenders at all.
We as units can only do anything about that with time and PUG players coming to units to get organized. Many folks do not want that and just return to the public games.
If you want to discuss, feel free to answer or send me a PM.

Except for two evenings in the week my unit usually doesn´t get more than 8 people for an CW drop either. When we get 4 or more we drop in CW. We tell our PUGs what we need them to do and in 9 out of 10 drops they help us the best they can.
We even have beaten organized 12 mans, defending as well as attacking.
We do not snipe, we rush, we brawl, we fight to the teeth.
Actually some of the toughest fights we had in our New Years Hangover offensive we had against PUGs. So I dont really get the issue you have. For me it looks like you got for a few days what we got for weeks and now you dont want to fight us anymore. Did you think conquering the FRR would be easy mode forever?
Or did you think we liked getting our asses handed to us? Actually we hated it, and it drove us. It wasn´t only the big pro units that won the battles on saturday and sunday. It where mostly small, casual units like mine that did the fighting. And then there is the fact that while we where losing planet after planet we where swarmed in our forums by clan wolf players taunting us for loosing fights against three attackers at once.
But if you go into the FRR subforum you won´t find a single thread about why this or that is OP, or why this or that is unfair. You´ll find a bunch of threads on how we can turn things around, on strategies and tactics. And that is the reason we finally got our **** together.
But if I challenge you in your own forums and get something as a reply that sounds a lot like "We won´t play with you." then I will make my people ghostdrop the **** out of your worlds.

First off all, I am still dropping at the moment and I will not stop after some lost matches. Others do. And you can do nothing against that. You will make them fight by Ghost Dropping their planets? How will that change anything. As soon as people stop to care about CW they will not care about you taking some pixels on a map. Let's face it - the planets are absolutly meaningless at the moment. And if you take every planet you can you will still leave the Clans with their base worlds and everyone who wants can drop in CW. But most would not care anymore and simply play public games.
Not saying going away is the solution to this problem. Just saying, you can not force people to drop against you.
And yes, my Clan was able to beat bigger groups as well. But many small units are not. And please consider that you were buffed on your Operation Hangover by several Comp teams. And now let me ask you - how many did you face?

We do not go to your forum to talk smack.
We do not go to your forum to beg you to defend when we have no one to fight.
Here you are...doing exactly that and wondering why we do not care?
Steiner is the more pressing issue. Sorry to inform. However, we have to pick a side, and it is not FRR.

Well, you should understand me better now, since I have not been to the FRR forum in so long I have no idea what goes on over there.
I could not possibly care less what happens to FRR. Had it been my way all along, we would have taken the VAST majority of our worlds from Steiner all along since they were mostly due south. However, an arrangement I was not privy to until after the fact prevented that.
So...
As I say...Steiner is the more pressing issue, and has been all along.
If you want fights, you will have to get them elsewhere, because we intend to defend the Lyran border.

Gyrok once again leading the clans to another great victory.

Worthless or not, a planet is a planet. Its territory and can be a link to more worthwhile planets that we can plunder. Thought that capitalists like the Lyran Commonwealth would think in advance so they could cash in on their conquest efforts $$$

I wouldn't call being more patient than a bunch of man-children crowing about their stacked faction with comp teams "great," but I would call it clever. Does Marik even get around to the Clan front? I thought you guys just trade one or two planets with Davion and pretend your border skirmishes are some big showcase of madskillz and coordination.

Having taken a contract with Davion, and even fought in the first great war on Wazan, I can tell you that the Davion/Marik border is a pretty fun place to shoot mechs. It rivaled the fun of facing off against teams like QQ and CI when they were both in FRR, NS in Kurita, and 228 once they switched to FRR. Very fun, very good matches.

The common wealth recognizes the plight of our neighboring space vikings and our own line of conquest seems unbroken into wolf space as you also push to reclaim worlds. Win win my friend. Win win. There is a deep satisfaction in watching 2 wolf planets get conquered each turn that money simply cannot buy. Onward!
