It actually works. It really does.
I use the CER LL at long range of course and whenever i think the CERML would do decent damage i add it.
Up close it's all CERSL along with MG spraying and when i can spare the heat i use the CERML too.

Not as crazy as some, but if you're a good shot, this thing actually does kind of work.

It's actually really good for practicing trigger discipline and positioning.

I also have a Huginn with an AC5:

And a 4X with a AC10:

I used to use an AC20 and 1 ML on the 4X, but between the lower ammo and more limited range I found myself holding my fire a lot, and this was unacceptable.

That's because it is. If you're going to bring 40 LRMs, you need way more than 2t of ammo.

Except I can't, I don't have the tonnage for it.
On top of that it's supposed to just soften up the enemy until my lasers can finish the job. 9 salvos is more than enough for the role my TBR is supposed to fill.

Then why not drop down to a pair of LRM 15s and add another ML and couple tons of ammo for fun? Gives you 24 salvos and better alpha.

Add another medium laser? I have a hard time keeping my heat in check as it is.
No, I don't feel the need to add more ammo.
Edit: Thanks for the suggestion though. Primary configuration says LRM 20, so I run LRM 20. Only reason I removed the MPLas is because it is and always has been redundant.
