Team Speak Module Plugin

So i am not a programer, but i think that some kind of TS plugin that could put everyone on the same team in a given match, into the same team Speak channel at the start of the match, and then return them to their start channel after the match ends...
Would need some check boxes like, Keep this team together to drop with again, or do random team drops....etc...etc...
TS already has all the voip features like Mute etc.... so just a MWO plugin to make it happen, is all that needs to be developed....

That's a great idea. I wonder why no one thought about it before.

Not gonna happen.

Its certainly possible, but who is going to pay for the (rather expensive) server, and do the backend programing.

About sarcasm: VOIP is a request since closed beta and it was on the roadmap for development since the beginning (there's even an option in the settings).
About fact: the game is around for more than 2 years, the last great delivery was CW, from now on I can only expect balance changes, bug fixes, maps and mechs.

I hope some one at PGI has had this idea already..... if not, they are not thinking.... if someone on the forums has thought of this, I missed it, or I would not have posted this

and why not? it surly is within their capability, if they just see the merit in doing this way, vs doing it some other way......
PGI would have to provide the TS Servers in their current game Server location. And they would have to design and program the TS plugin to suit the needed features for MWO.
Seams like a logical choice to make a MWO plug in for TS , rather than make a new ground up voip program for MWO

This games bleeds players who dont have the time to dedicate time to a unit. Its called casual gaming and that accounts for probably 90% (no evidence just speculation) of the player base in any game anywhere. When halo2 came out for xbox it wasnt ridiculously popular because of its stellar storyline. It was popular because of its ridiculously addictive multiplayer which included an in game voip system that allowed players to coordinate with eachother.

Like it was said in this thread we have been asking for voip from the beginning. PGI actively pursued the idea and said in January they were working on it. In the changeover and serious ass licking to NGNG and the group guys it was abandoned without word or explanation. I have to trust it was a valid business decision on PGI's side. Now I think we are waiting for steam.
Until then may we mushrooms hang in there.
PS Russ. Stop brown nosing NGNG Please.

Folks have been asking for a VOiP for a few years now, PGI sponsored a TS3 Server for players to use but there is still a large group of players who were not satisfied. I am not saying they should or shouldn't be but they are not. I was/ am. I can message a friend in game. tell them where to meet me. I have done it. It doesn't take but a few minutes. And does not affect In game Frame rates far as I can tell, even when I used a PoS Laptop.
