BT vehicular and Mech MGs can range between .50cal(perhaps even smaller) to 30mm cannons. Apparently .50cal to 20mm cannons are your typical calibers.
It is true 20mm and up are cannons, but with respect to mechs and I believe battle armor, they are classified as MG systems...especially since their primary tasking is anti-personnel and soft targets. This MG oriented tasking makes sense since 30mm rounds were no longer deemed viable anti-armor munition since the mid-1970s...by this time, the Soviet/Russian T-72 MBT's armor readily and effectively defeated the 30mm round fired from A-10 Thunderbolt II's GAU-8...hence the heavy payload of bombs and anti-tank missiles slung under the aircraft.
It's hard enough for +100mm rounds to defeat armor...but at least they can carry sufficient payloads of various armor defeating tech to make them reasonable anti-armor munitions(though not necessarily in one or two hits anymore).

There is a fix. In game video settings, particles set to low.
Now you can enjoy your PB. Your frame rate might even be better too.

Thanks for the advice but this should not be the solution to fix a disadvantage of a mech.
Additional to that I have played 18 month with low settings and finally I can enjoy "very high" settings with a fantastic framerate.. So, no thanks!
