.

Yesterday I dropped on a team with three direwolves, timberwolves and a summoner.

This happened:

Posted Image

A locust dealt highest damage clocking in at 897.

At 707, I netted 2nd highest damage in a trebuchet, an inner sphere mech many forum posters consider to be "useless" and "DOA". I must not have gotten that memo considering I break 500+ damage in a treb, regularly.

Basically a locust and a treb murdered their entire team.

Clearly, inner sphere technology needs nerfing!!

If a locust can drop in game and inflict 2-3 times the amount of damage as all direwolves, on both teams! Clearly the locust needs nerfing also.

And, I wouldn't be surprised if the trebuchet needed nerfing given how "OP" it is.

Definitely. Please nerf. They're too fast, too much burst pinpoint damage and they have too many options to choose from. They're clearly at an advantage.

Wait wait wait... I thought Clan mechs were OP? What universe is this again?

If this isn't proof that IS is OP... then I don't know what more proof is needed.
Everything is here...Screenshot, examples, good and irrefutable points :)

I declare shenanigans.

He has obviously photoshopped the scoreboard. Can we get an expert opinion? The text alignment is off.

Its not photoshopped. It was conquest mode on canyon network. There's a cap point near the corner of the map. I think the locust and I got the best of the sneak and peek part of things whereas everyone just camped.

Here's another from earlier in the day where inner sphere mechs posted highest damage.

I should take more screenshots. My experiences in game are the opposite of what I hear most forum posters saying. lol

Oh, I'm just messing. I know it's real. It was more of a joke because I was recently told I used Photoshop on a screenshot of my map stats.

All I see is the fact that the team with most Clan mechs had won.

Therefore Clan mechs OP.

IS are clearly not OP from all these screenshots (though I assume this is a sarcastic post, I will bite just for fun).

You are all failing to look at the top right corner of the screenshots. Battle Time, 7:17, 6:34, 8:51.
This means the top scoring IS mechs managed to keep up an average dps of around 2 during these fights.

The threads calling for Clan nerfs are posting screenshots of 2-3 minute fights where the top scoring clan mechs (often DWs) have say 1000 damage done, which is a dps of around 6-7, not taking into account that a DW often needs to spend at least a minute just getting to the fight, leading to an effective dps of around 10 as compared to these long hauls where IS mechs can approach similar total damage done but with a dps of 2 as people have shown here.

So yeah, to me this thread is just another one of the 'nerf clans' threads we have seen for the last few weeks, at least if we go by the screenshots presented.

Also, as El Banditio said, the team with the most Clan mechs tend to win, and this is more telling of the real reason why the IS mechs got such high damage. Everyone knows the Clan mechs are more dangerous, therefore it makes sense to try to kill them first. However, the Clan mechs are also more resilient than IS mechs, meaning it takes longer to kill them. This in total leads to IS mechs being free to just stand there and shoot all game long with little firepower coming their way, allowing them to reach high damage numbers since they need to spend less time on average avoiding incoming fire.

You really argued a solid case here, based on scientific evidance!

But damn that Locust...

There does need to be something done about that Locust, it is just too powerful.

When the IS quirks get put through, it needs...
*25% reduction in leg armor and structure
*10% increase in fall damage to legs

That's just for starters.

Pff, that Locust was so bad.
A Urbanmech would have destroyed the whole team alone.

And that is why the super OP Urbie will never see the battlefields of MWO. It is simply too OP!! FFS keep the balance in mind and stop posting demands for the Urbie. Its just unrealistic to bring it iinto this game with the IS being so OP already.
:P

You mean to say two mechs people rant about being DOA were the most effective?? I mean, if even it was a fluke, that's a helluva fluke...

This makes me think of Errodien streaming on NGNGTv the night Clans came out.

He, Zoeff, and TheB33f were all running Locusts and mouse-packing clan mechs left and right. At one point, he hollered out "Hey Buckman!! Locust OP!! Fix your [excrement] YO!"
