Where Is The Manual?

I've got stuff on all of the user interface and weapon systems. I also have some gameplay tutorials and mech information. If there is something I don't have, let me know and I'll cover that too. Have great luck on the battlefield and I hope to see you there!

There was a Knowledge Base section of the support section, but it was very incomplete and now MIA. all knowledge base section now only display the support@mwomercs.com email address in lieu of any of the original content.

Ever since Steam became popular... I haven't seen manuals for any PC games.

with the beginning of those slim plastic cases games weren't in big boxes anymore and manuals went lost. All you get now is an small booklet with how to install the game. a few pics and the help hotline.

I just fly on Flight Gear now.
Still, I loved the dossiers on the flyable planes they had.

No one questions that.
The issue is that PGI does not have the manpower to create and update a manual like that consistently.
And an out of date manual is worse than no manual at all.
Case in point they recently changed the damage transfer mechanic.
Instead of cutting damage in half - it now reduces damage 40%
Something that - despite it's major game-play implications - never even made it into the patch notes!

You will notice, I never said that they did not feel it was important - but that other things (such as getting things such as CW running) were MORE important
After all - that was THE feature promised from the get go - and it is hard to have a manual when you do not yet have a game FOR the manual.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

This has been a legit game for awhile now. Every developer has updates anymore. Once they started take our money it was a GAME.

unfortunately around the turn of the century flight sims seemed to become far less common (going from 1 release a month to maybe 1 a year), the old flight sims were so involved you almost needed that manual to figure out how to control the aircraft, most "flight sims" I have tried in the last decade have far less in the way of complexity and thus I find them unsatisfying

All Steam games have manuals. You can find them when you go into your Library. On the right side you have the list of "Visit shop page", "Buy more DLCs", "Buy more skins", "Buy more more", "Visit the forums (and ask which DLC you should buy)" and also "Game Manual".
Of course there is no printed manual for the digital game, but you do at least get the PDF.

Not all steam games have a manual. At least 80% of my current steam library does NOT have the manual in the menu that you are referring to.
Interestingly, Blood Bowl gives you a pdf of the tabletop rulebook, so while it references the game rules it neglects anything regarding the modes, function, or network capabilities of the video game. so if you wanted to know how to play online, or how to play the game's alternative live mode (instead of the default turn by turn mode) you're SOL, and tells you to do stuff like move the turn marker on the game board.
Online games like Warframe tend not to have a manual, while story-driven adventure games like Mass Effect tend to include one.

It's been my experience as well. After 9/11 all of the newer flight sims were "dumbed down" as being too realistic.
As far as "shooter" flight sims go, Red Baron 3D was always my favorite. I still have my old RB2 disc with the free 3D Super patch and Hell's Angles patch as well. I tied installing it on my Win7 machine and the flight dynamics were all messed up. It would run, but those WWI era biplanes flew more like WWII era, IL2 Sturmovik models!

Microprose F-15 Strike Eagle III was in my opinion the best flight sim ever.

You can hover over an icon to get what it means.
White I believe is ECM.
Lets go through them.
Orange lightning = energy
3 purple bullets = ballistic
Red crosshair = AMS (anti-missile system).
Green dart = missile.
"0" = All hardpoints for this type are full.
"1" = One hardpoint of this type is available to fill.
"2" = two hardpoints of this type are available to fill.
And last but not least, white crosshair with a diagonal line is ECM.

Is that Dragon Age game akin to Skyrim?
It'd probably interest me.
I did the second one first. Dropped it in about 20 minutes. The first one I did next, because I kept seeing how it was virtually a different game. I'm still playing it but it's not quite 'there', so to speak.

Thank you for yet again missing my point
Yes it has been a legit game
But it is also a legit game where the info FOR the manual has been changing almost every week.
And PGI does not have the staff to keep it updates
We are not even getting it all into the PATCH NOTES FOR GODS SAKE.
THANK you.
For actually reading my post....
OH WAIT.
TLDR
PGI DOES NOT HAVE THE STAFF ####'s
You want to fix that?
You want that FIXED?
There is ONE solution to that.
And that solution has been there since the game was in closed beta
Thank you for your OWN competence and understanding
