Granted. However, the level of change is the issue here. Gaming companies over powering units then nerfing them down to almost useless levels is an old practice and I call them on it every chance I get. A slight change is normal, a large change is a failure of the company to play test correctly. I don't pay people to fix their mistakes on my dime.
Then don't pay.

Not this time. The CEO has already said that a change is coming to this product. Not acknowledging it is akin to a " bait and switch" scam.
Not really.
It's public knowledge.
Additionally, it's known that all products are liable to change.
This isn't a bait-and-switch, it's all on the table, and the product offered is available.
"
A Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud used in retail sales but also employed in other contexts. First, customers are "baited" by merchants' advertising products or services at a low price, but when customers visit the store, they discover that the advertised goods are not available, or the customers are pressured by sales people to consider similar, but higher priced items ("switching")."
None of that applies here.

Why I buy a thing is my business, not anyone else's. I by a product I expect it to work month #2 as it did day 1. If a company can't do that, then the issue is between the company and myself. This is why I asked the question about a refund in the first place. You know, before I buy the mechs.
And the answer is, the info is on the table.
Also yes, why you buy it is your problem, but in a game where there's a disclaimer that performance and abilities are prone to change, then wanting it to stay exactly the same, complaining it won't stay the same is childish, especially if you want it to stay that way to abuse it.
Hence why I said, buy because you want
the mech, not because you want the
flavour of the month, which is liable to change
If you
do want to buy the flavour of the month mech to cash in on the current balance issues
, understand it won't stay that way, and there'll be a new FOTM later.

Why would I like/buy something if it's function is going to change, in an unknown way, shortly after I buy it? That's just silly, and suggesting I accept PGI's lack of disclosure in this instance borders on "white knighting" for PGI.
Not accepting things as they are, asking for better value for my dollar, and insisting on guaranteed level of performance is not whining or entitlement as some on this board insist it is. Being vocal about value is a vital part of the free market economy. Good business requires knowledgeable consumers.
I agree, I've complained about costs myself, and still do.
The reason it's liable to change is in the interests of
balance equalising the performance of all mechs, to make it skill based.
This isn't a lack of disclosure, it's a known disclaimer.
Complaining that
stats are liable to change, and that's an unknown factor, when it's a standard disclaimer, is just nonsense.
I'm not one to blindly defend something, I just don't care for such foolishness.
