i've been seeing a lot of LRM timbers lately with ZERO back up weapons.

I'll admit I run some LRM machines but I always have backups and sacrifice a missile bay and ammo tonnage to carry my own Narc or a tag (mostly narc though).

I tried all LRM timber once then immediately went back to having at least 4 ER Meds.

I run my missile boat timberwolf with 4 medium lasers, and 4 LRM 15s.

About the other Mechs than the Grasshopper...
I have been a Panther fanboy since TRO3025

The Enforcer is a good make do if I cannot have a Centurion

Zeus I am not the normal Lyran and have not been impressed with the Mech. But it is a fair scout for my Atlas and King Crab.

I thought I was the only one that had been seeing that? Saw a Timby with 4 LRM10 and 2 tag.

I'll never run a boat without backup wpns, and tag too usually

Atlas LRM boats make me sad.

I use a 2xLRM 10 on my Hunchback J. With the quirks on the J, it's 50% cooldown and 50% heat, it's surprisingly effective with 5 1/2 tons of ammo and 5 ML's. It's not a true "boat", but you'd be surprised how long I can keep the enemy hiding with those 2 LRM launchers while my team closes the distance.

I'm sorry but no. That's not an lrm boat "done right" for several reasons.

One, even my lrm kit fox carries more ammo. Second lrm20s are a waste of tonnage. Lrm15s are superior in every way. Finally an unused energy point in the head = fail.
